We don't know if she is a witch since first year or not. And she was brainwash twice before the series started. Once when Himekawa asked Nancy and maybe one when Miyamura's sis still going to school, I guess?
What I stated above even I'm not sure if it's right cause right now this series has too much filler and plot. |

There are likes 2 or 3 unintroduced male witches during Chess club, some of them introduced recently maybe old witches although Ushio reaction to the latter more like strangers. Too many questions unasnwered in Yamada. For started i believe Rika the original ex-seven witch promised Yamad to tell a secret about the witches if he aided her with her love story but we gain naught.

So, looks like the past girlfriend wqs Shiraishi, which I guess kills the theory that she may may of erased the memories out of spite... so now the question remains, why were their memories erased? Did someone do it out of jealousy towards Yamada? Did Shiraishi maybe do it because Odagiri liked Yamada and didn't want to ruin their friendship?

Out of curiosity, I've just finished marathoning the series in 2 days and ended up enjoying it.
Now I'd like to know if the Anime was a decent adaptation of the Manga, how was the pacing and where did it stop regarding the Manga. Anyone here capable of answering me all of that? If possible, of course. |

As a manga reader, I found the anime's pacing atrocious.
For starters, the first episode had a lot of cuts and alterations and ended before Ito's introduction chapter, which is around chapter 6. And the first two chapters are +50 and +30 pages to boot. I dropped it after 5 episodes. The parts with Nene at least paced well. She was like the only witch, who got 2 episodes for her arc. The anime only viewers liked the anime though. Although most of them felt that this should have been a story told in 2-cours. They adapted up to the first ceremony, so around 90 chapters. On the bright side, the OVA's were really funny, so at least I can recommend them. |

Well, actually, I've just finished watching the OVAs.
Except for the dancing scenes, it was kinda fun. Still prefered the series' content. I guess I managed to enjoy the series because I haven't touched the Manga. But has much been lost in the adaptation? |

The dedicated fans from MAL said that around 30-40% of content has been lost in the adaptation. The early episodes had their issues, but the last 3-4 easily took the cake.
Indication for how much was going on: Episode 9: Tamaki's introduction, the scene with Asuka in the StuCo room, important plot points. Episode 10: Leona's introduction, Rika's introduction, memory erasure. Episode 11: Forgotten Yamada arc, Yamada recruiting the witches for the ceremony. Episode 12: The ceremony, closure. And Tamaki got introduced in chapter 53... Noa fans were really mad too, because her emotional scenes were lost, or to be more precise, the emotional parts(Infirmary scene). |

Author definitely likes dragging things out.
I'm beginning to wonder if Shiraishi cheated on Yamada and he beat up the other guy, which got him suspended. There was a lot of talk from her about how he would never hurt someone else, but I'm wondering if she may have and then used a ceremony to erase all the memories because she felt guilty.

The whole arc felt anticlimactic in the end. All that build up only to find out that it was the old student council erasing everyone's memories to keep the witches a secret, nothing more. The author played it up as it was something huge and it just was kind of brushed aside as nothing much.

This is so weird. I check up on this manga after a long time and suddenly things center around Shiraishi. Like the mangaka suddenly realised he/she has been ignoring the supposed lead girl and decided to just twist things around, lol.
Anyway is this manga ending? Not expecting much after how crappily Yankee-kun ended. |
