Well, I guess this reaffirms why the manga is called "Suzuka".

The mangaka certainly seems enthusiastic about the character, but he hasn't convinced me yet why I should be.

Well I'm a bit dissapointed, but at the same time I'm eager to see what's in the future for them. I still have great hopes.

I haven't had a chance to look at it yet... but in my opinion, it was needed.

A whole year of trying to split the manga between the two main-characters would have been taxing. Plus, this opens up a lot more options and raises some questions.

After all the events in the manga iv started wondering about the anime. Does anyone think they will try to continue it from where they left off, or leave it be. i know some people dont want to see season 2 but if it followed the manga i wouldnt mind.

what say you?

Well, I'm hoping that yamato doesn't go back with suzuka, anything but that, and it seems that after a year yamato is cool and all, now all nervous around honoka aww

But I think suzuka also going to be having a personality change.. so i wouldn't know if she is strict one or not...

Indeed. Fills me with dread. If wonderboy relapses into the old "Asahinaaaa!!" routine despite all which happened, I'll ask a japanese TL friend of mine to prepare a protest note with alot of expletives. Everyone over here would be invited to sign it.

I'll try my best to stay open-minded, and who knows - maybe a Suzuka-Yamato resolution can be sold to me somehow. But the mangaka will have to do ALOT to make this work for me. ALOT. And it will include dramatic changes to Suzuka.

An incredibly dere-dere, uncharacteristically contrite and overly affectionate Suzuka would sell me.

1 year huh, what a waste. We could've seen fun events like Miho starting high school and joining the club. Maybe we'll get a special chronicling one or more events during the time-slip. Suzuka: The Lost Year

Well I'm not sure what to think really. I hope this beach event occurs without Asahina. Right now I'm seeing three possibilities: Yamato/Suzuka in the end, and Yamato/no one Suzuka/someone, Yamato/no one Suzuka/no one.) At this point I can't see anyone else with Yamato because of this one year skip, well, besides Honoka, but right now that's so faint.

I think the mangaka wants to put drama once again, but man such a waste, he/she(forgot his/her gender already) should just have continued it to see more development between honoka, and even miki.

Suzuka would be a pretty cool manga if it weren't for Suzuka.

Seriously though, isn't it kind of sad/funny that it seems that many of the people on the board were greatly anticipating how the manga would be once it was rid of Suzuka for a year?

Spoiler for ch. 121:

@Sinestra: I wouldn't mind a second season of the anime if they bumped up the budget. Suzuka made a good anime, but the art/animation quality was distracting.

In other news, does this mean Yui is now gone for good?

cmon ... do you honestly think that ?
the manga is still going on, who knows what might happen in the next few chapters. is it predictable ? maybe , but that ruins the fun out of it. at least wait till the manga is finished before you decide all the bad parts about it. im not trying to be some stuck up suzuka fan but just give it a chance. after all, the ending is the best part.

Has Suzuka found another person? Judging from Miho's questions... it seems Yamato and Honoka are really close, are they just friends or more? There are so many things to list I'd rather not type it all out... but in my opinion a meeting between them is inevitable and the story starts from there! Expect Yui to return, Miki do something drastic, Honoka to confess again and maybe more, and for Suzuka to do something... something... It's all my hopeful speculation. I'm excited... I really hope Honoka doesn't get pushed off to the side because she is my favorite character... too bad Yamato can't have all four. Also I'd expect the Manga to end by at most chpt 200 if not sooner. I think that the time skip signaled that Suzuka is finally drawing to a close after this arc...

If we had to go through the track stuff again it'd be kinda redundant and I know it did have a lot of potential for more relationships, but that's like....How many relationships has he been through lol. I think him not being involved in any more relationships in that gap has made him into a new person. With his high school year almost over, the manga is probably sure to come to an end, as I doubt it'll extend into college or anything else like that.

Seriously though, isn't it kind of sad/funny that it seems that many of the people on the board were greatly anticipating how the manga would be once it was rid of Suzuka for a year? Spoiler for ch. 121: The part with Miho and her crush made me shake my head. It's like seeing Yamato and Asahina v2.0, which I guess is supposed to inspire feelings of nostalgia but instead makes me feel vaguely discouraged. Is this the mangaka's idea of an ideal relationship? As for Yamato acting cooler when Asahina re-appears, it's hard to imagine. He seemed pretty much the standard Yamato when Miho suggested that he and Honoka were together; blushing, stammering, yelling. It'd be great if he was like a rock when Suzuka reappears, but I bet he'll lapse right back into it. @Sinestra: I wouldn't mind a second season of the anime if they bumped up the budget.
