But really, I consider this the real intro to the tsubasa arc so things aren't really heat up yet (hell I don't think much happens in terms of plot next episode too, but should be even more hilarious than this one).

I absolutely love that Mayoi scene in the beginning, she's SOOO CUTEEEEEE.

Also, it's nice they put Katanagatari's CM at the end.

Welcome back, Bakemonogatari. Though if I had to decide whether this episode was worth waiting so many weeks for, then no. Disappearing memories, messed up schedules, etc.
No new OP either...
The ED was as nice as usual though.

Hanekawa looks better with her hair down... Though in the end, don't really care about her. Mayoi's part at the beginning made this episode worth watching. Really funny stuff.

Now then, time to wait again...

9/10 - 2/10 for the long gap between episodes for one arc.

Perfect, loved it, finally a Tsubasa episode

Loved also possessed Tsubasa comments over what drew Koyomi's (and 99% of the male populations) attention and she was not the only character mentioning it

By the way, there was an announcement about the BD/DVD coming out at 27.1 and 24.2 2010; has anyone else seen that? Isn't that too early?

That being said, fun episode to watch. I enjoyed the return of loli, and overall, the ep felt similar to the other "lead-in" eps for the previous arcs, in a good way.

I was just like Arararagi at the beginning. When I saw Hachikuji I smiled. It has been so many episodes and so many weeks since we have last seen her. She has always been one of my favorite anime characters.

I just love her voice. The VA who plays Hachikuji does a really unique job IMO. Great fight scene between A&H






This episode was dialog heavy so until translations come out I cannot vote. Matter-of-fact no one has voted yet...Odd. I wonder if the poll is working correctly.


Can someone tell me what Hanekawa says during the scene where she presses her breast against Araragi and he freezes up? I bet she says something totally funny.





P.S. Does Hanekawa's cat transformation also increase her bust size? I swear it was as if she had been hit in the back by 2 tomahawk missles.

The poll is still closed. They usually keep it closed until it actually airs to prevent people from doing silly things like voting before they watch it. I guess the delays with the airing and the crowded servers confused the situation enough that they just left it closed.

That's the thing, Hanekawa specifically tries to hide her large breasts.

Hanekawa was pretty malicious to bring up the legend about how vampires have the power to captivate the opposite sex and then hint at that being the reason that all these girls are gravitating towards him. Yeah, the cat claws are coming out in this episode.

Hitagi: Don't worry, I'll mimic your voice so just leave it to me. (Saitou Chiwa's name pops on screen) The seiyuu that is in charge of my voice is exceptional.

Koyomi: Seiyuu?!? Is this an anime world?!?

Hitagi (mimicking Koyomi's voice): Hitagi-san, you are so beautiful! You are absolutely my ideal person. I love you!

Hitagi: How was that? Didn't I sound like you?

Koyomi: Not at all! I had my hopes up, but it totally didn't sound like me! And I haven't said those words yet, ah-

Hitagi: Yet? Then I can expect such from now on?

I'm not going to lie, Hanekawa really should have become Araragi's girlfriend instead of Senjougahara. I mean they are just so much more compatible together. Senjougahara is a normal human while Araragi and Hanakawa are part-kaiis.

Probably not necessary in this case, considering there're quite amount of otaku culture references in the novel.
