Yeah, it's true, he ranked 28th in the most recent poll. Japanese people sometimes have interesting tasts for things, but all the same, Bradley wasn't nearly as baddass and epic before that poll was held... I really started loving his character from Greedling vs. Wrath

Bradley is one of my favorite manga villains of all time. I loved the duality of his character (going from eccentric and funny to a ruthless and emotionless badass). I do wish they showed his nicer side a bit more, like when he smiled on pg. 35 ch101, and let his human side shine through more often.
I'm glad it was someone like Scar who got him in the end. It fits pretty well that the two characters with the highest body counts kill each other. |

Old villains are cool and can be cool. Bradley is just too vanilla. We've all seen the middle aged samurai super swordsman (aka The Professional) in anime before. He's like Kariya in Samurai Champloo. He's macho, he's got the facial hair, he's oozing the Samurai deadliness, he's stoic, he's old enough to be the heroes' father. We get it... he's the best fighter in the series. It's like a "just for men" hair coloring commercial. He's got the gray to show experience and enough color left in his hair to show he still has the physical stamina to kick your ass.

Too bad we're left with two villains who are far less interesting now.
Father and Pride, while last-boss worthy of arrogant megalomaniacs, are boring compared to the awesomeness that is King Bradley.

no need to spoiler tag that he is. but he was a human who had sorcerer's stone injected into him, like Lin. i don't think he's ever been wounded yet. in the most recent chapters, you'll see he gets injured, but like with Lin, you either regenerate or you use your ability.
