Relaxed, comedy anime like Azumanga

I'm looking for something like Azumanga where the comedy is mainly from character interaction. A series which has a good amount of re-watchability(Read: I made this word up).

It could have a plot but I'd prefer it to have little to no drama. To be more specific, nothing like Shuffle where it's comedy most of the time and have some really serious episodes in the middle. So I guess this excludes almost all of harem/romance animes.

Here are some examples of animes I've watched which has those traits (which I've liked):

- Azumanga Daioh
- Sensei no Ojikan
- Ichigo Mashimaro
- School Rumble (kind of)
- Crayon Shin-chan
- Full Metal Panic! Fumoffu?!
- Binchotan
- Ouran High School Host Club (kind of)
- Kyou no Go no Ni
- Kamichu!

Currently watching:
- Lucky Star
- Gakuen Utopia Manabi Straight! (thanks for the reminder, Skyfall)
- Hidamari Sketch

Already watched was reminded to watch again (thanks!):
- Jungle wa Itsumo Hare nochi Guu

So to put it simply, something like Azumanga: happy, episodic, funny, relaxed and stress-free.

I apologize for being so anal with this. (:

[edit]

I just remembered: please don't recommend crazy comedies like Excel Saga/Puni Puni Poemi. ^^v

Jungle wa Itsumo Hare nochi Guu - a little crazy I guess... but not like Excel Saga. Very funny, episodic, and nothing too serious

Ichigo Masimaro (licensed and for sale at present)

Lucky*Star (currently airing and being subbed by several groups)

Both contain subtle humor, slice-o-life, and "cute girls doing funny things" as they go through life.

Pani Poni Dash is somewhat funny if you understand the jokes... to much parody in there.
Tenshi na Konamaiki (Cheeky Angel?) is a comedy anime with a bit of romance. Not as relaxing as Azudai or Ichigo, but funny There is a serious multi episode arc near the end, but not as serious as shuffle.
and I second Jungle wa Itsumo Hare nochi Guu. Very funny
The last one would be Momoiro Sister...

Mahoraba ~Heartful Days~ -comedy/romance

Aria (both seasons) - as far as relaxing shows go, this might take the absolute 1st place.
Gakuen Utopia Manabi Straight!

I've already seen it but I've completely forgotten that this series existed. Definitely worth watching again, thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion but I've already put these in my "already watched" list.

I'll check out Pani Poni Dash and Momoiro Sister; been contemplating on whether to get Pani Poni for awhile now.

I've already seen Tenshi na Konamaiki and I'm not sure if it's the type of anime I'm currently looking for. Thanks for your suggestions, though. Appreciate it.

Oops! Forgot to add Manabi Straight to the currently watching list.

Aria and Mahoraba looks just what I'm looking for. Thanks!

Hayate no Gotoku since no one mention it.
Nothing serious about it, just lots of gags and parodies. More into the realm of School Rumble/ Ouran's realism.

Wow, I don't know how this one slipped under my radar. Looks like something that I would totally enjoy. Thanks for the suggestion!

I have a few more suggestion..
Gakuen Alice and Petopeto-san. Petopeto-san is the more relaxing one, but Gakuen Alice main character is so likeable

How about Nodame Cantabile? It's not episodic like AD, but like Guu or School Rumble the story doesn't drive the show forward incessantly. It's much more character-driven.

To me, Nodame is closer towards slice of life than comedy. In similar veins of Noitamina other series like Hataraki Man and Honey to Clover.

I'm already watching it but I agree with Jazzrat, it's not really what I'm looking for. Thanks for the suggestion, anyways! I appreciate it.

Keep 'em coming! I'm trying to get as many as possible. (:

If you liked Aria, then the Quiet Country Cafe OAVs might interest you too. The manga is boatloads better than the OAVs though, just because the OAVs are really just a snapshot of the whole story.

I'll definitely check it out as I'm enjoying Aria quite a bit.

Is Gakuen Alice licensed?

Beware the YKK pimp...

I guess it's a good thing that you're seeing Aria first. Some people find it disappointing to watch Aria after YKK because seeing YKK tends to raise standards and expectations.

Anyway, somewhat similar to Ichigo Mashimaro would be SAKURABA Coharu's Minami-ke and Today In Class 5-2. Slice-of-life comedy featuring cute kids with the occasional warm & fuzzy "awww" moments... and maybe a few tolerable panty shots.

[EDIT] I must warn you though: Read the manga. DO NOT TOUCH THE OVA's. Today in Class 5-2 lost 90% of its charm in the animated version.
