No, we saw to whom the Walkure members were asigned from their interactions in episode 1, Mikumo rode Arad's valk, Kaname was saved by Messer, Makina asked to recharge the drones and Mirage did it, and Reina was flying with Chuck, and obviously the two new members were assigned together, or in short :

Interesting choice is characters though I can guess maybe it's because the story is focusing on these three... Freyja and finding out about songs being weapons (according to Berger anyway), Mikumo and her past, Keith and his discord with Roid.
