Unicorn's return into space is pretty symbolic, IMO. It had to fight off flies like Ankushas and a monster like Banshee; tools created by parties who resist the opening of the box and in Martha's words, want to seal the box off forever. They represent the souls forever weighed down by gravity who want to drag Unicorn and Banagher down with them, but Banagher's resolve coupled with Unicorn's amplifying powers are superseding them at every count.

I'm liking the techno feel of it quite a bit, which is refreshing for Gundam UC IMO.

Yes this is official. Gundam Unicorn is now 7 volumes, and the final volume will be over an hour long. There was an event today where they announced this. Vol6 is also not going to be out until Spring 2013.

No. It's the logical way to go to avoid squeezing the contents of 3 books into one single hour of animation.

Novel purist had expressed outrage at episode 4, the treatment of Loni amongst other things. You might want to poke Deacon for all the details.

I don't like to wait till 2014, but with the quality of Unicorn OVA so far, Bandai can extend and change the novel's version as much as they want.

This also means more special UC gunpla suits to be released.

Shit. Oh, shit. I understand more than a year's wait if episode 7 is going to be more than an hour long, but episode 6...? Sunrise can't do this. My body can't wait a year for more Unicorn. 6 months is bad enough!

Nevertheless, I'm happy there's going to be more Unicorn. But the wait...
