Been jamming to two great tapes, Pete Rock and & Camp Lo's 80 Blocks From Tiffany's Pt.II and Travi$ Scott's Owl Pharoah.

I already knew Pete was a great beat-maker so the material on 80 Blocks wasn't too surprising. It was my first time listening to Scott th97gy and I was really impressed. The rhymes are okay but the instrumentals are so diverse. "Blocka La Flame", "Dance On the Moon", Quintana" and "Bandz" were definitely highlights.

Anyone here heard of Dillon Cooper? If not, download his tape Cozmik. Definitely one of the better tapes of the year.

Danny Brown's music has really grown on me. The fact his influence of rappers were also favourite of mine, so great stuff. A new favourite song of mine that was supposed to be in his new album but due to certain troubles, it didn't make it.

Man, it saddens me to hear that Lil Ugly Mane is going to give up rapping and stick to producing. Mista Thug Isolation was an awesome album.

Great cypher from Pro Era.

Also, CJ Fly's Thee Way Eye See It is quality.

Listened to The Underachievers' two mix-tapes last month and liked them too. Vic Mensa's INNANETAPE was damn good too.

If you ever get the chance, definitely see him live. I saw him this past summer at a music festival and he is an amazing live performer. Definitely one of the best I've ever seen!

If he comes to Brisbane, I will not miss the chance. It seems though Danny Brown isn't too big yet as the distribution of his albums are not that big, it seems. A shame he doesn't seem to do live outside US yet.

For anyone who's really into their 90s NY hip-hop, I highly recommend listening to Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Garcia's 20th anniversary show. Been jamming to it since I downloaded it a couple of days ago.

I kinda took a break from rap, but started listening to it again. Some of my favorite groups were Binary star and Wu tang clan. Right now I listen to Kendrick Lamar, good kid, m.A.A.d city is a good album.

New 50 music, I haven't listen to his stuff in so long. Sounds a lot like his old gritty rap before he was signed by Eminem.

Jada murders the beat. I've listened to a lot of different artists on this beat, this is the best I have heard.

I've been listening to a lot of this artist called Yung Lean, not sure what to make of him. On one hand hes got awesome beats really unique and catchy, but on the other hand he doesn't make sense and his lyrics are pretty awful.

Anyway check him out, tell me what you think:

This is pretty interesting.

I'm kinda liking the beats and flow like everyone in the comments is saying, but I can't make out anything he's saying lol. So I can't really comment on his lyrics if I can't understand them. :P

Now that I think about it more, he two songs you posted reminded me a lot of Future and the stuff he does. His presence in the rap game also reminds me of Lil B.

Yeah, its really odd. Pretty much what I thought when I first heard him. I am usually one to listen to rappers for the lyrics not for the beat. Obviously with this guy I reversed it

Those are the only two songs I can really listen to a lot, here's another one, I hate the beat though.

Finally listened to Cyhi the Prynce's Black Hystori Project. It's a pretty good mixtape
