Seems like she's a female Yuuno, style-wise.
I wonder if 'binds as offense' is something Tsuzuki got from fans saying it was possible, or there just wasn't anywhere for him to do it in the original or As? |

Late to the party, but I've never gotten the 'hotness' on the topic of Lutecia's wardrobe.
Lutecia's no an official member of a professional sports-combat organisation, military, private teams, or anything like that. What she's wearing is obviously something of her own design coming from the depths of her warped mentality that I would assume creates similar brainwaves akin to the likes of a certain Ancient Belkan Knight... except with a bit less prudence and decency. Plus this is an amateur tournament, where most of the girls are still... young girls. The last thing you would expect them to do is to polish the science of Barrier Jacket compositions to the max to ensure that they get something like what Caldelwich or Jail may have thought up with their funky design sense. They want to be able to look like what they want, not necessarily what clothes would give them that 0.1% edge. Never mind that BJ MAGIC allows protection even with minimal wear. Tldr; Lutecia chose what she wanted to wear, and considering who she is and how she was... was it any surprise? Quote:
That kind power was just 'uncool' back then. Now that more characters meant more magical diversity, there was room for that kind of application to gain some limelight. Just not Yuuno himself.

No, no, no, no. It was from Lily's debut, when her nipples were exposed in frontal glory. I clearly recall someone claiming the franchise to be ruined forever by fanservice. And when we pointed out the loli nekkid transformation scenes, or fate's sonic form, we got served the excuse... "But but but but, it is stylish and in line witht he genre!!!" Double standards are so wonderful. As for Lu. I just don't give a shit. I just think she should have chosen better underwear, be it in style and color. Jin Yamazaki don't approve this poor choice.

And I wonder why I felt compelled to troll the topic, sheesh so much SRS BUSINESS goings on here.
I blame Lulu's mother, she may very well be a carefree genki girl of her team. Just imagine her as Yui. Quint gets to be Mio and um Zest is GITAH

Most fanservice I've seen is pretty forced, so I'm not sure how you could call any examples 'stylish'. |

TBH, the vast (ah aha ha ha ha ha sure) majority of the people who did hold that view about stylish and ViViD, are kinda, well, not really here.
Not to mention that particular topic was last touched upon....what, more than a year ago? Frankly, I always thought of the whole thing as being exceptionally dumb for more reasons than I can count. Do I think Lu's costume is dumb? Bad looking? Poorly designed? Yeah, but what the hell. If she can make it look good (read: be awesome), then fine, if not, just another addition to wasted characters. You may now return to fighting with each other. |

Fabia's "True Witch" magic style made me, at first, eyeroll in the "gee, there goes all the seriousness" kind of way...but then I remembered that remark from the A's manga where Chrono told Yuuno that there were over 800 different types/styles of magic (which he expected Yuuno to sort out the records of ), and then...I could see that. I do wonder just what separates a "devil" from other kind of summoned/controlled/created creatures, so hopefully when one of our heroines fights Fabia we'll get more information.

Well, we were talking about this earlier, and I mentioned that it's a little difficult to imagine say, a dragon, devil or any sort of 'magic' species applying math - or at least what we understand as math - to magic. With that many forms of magic, it's not unreasonable to assume not all of them have the same exact practice.

The Golden Mean comes to mind, which comes up in nature shockingly often.
