Already looks similar to the anime.
Thanks! But, heh... if you think that's a lot of tanks you should see my entire 15mm collection. I suppose I should photograph them all at once...

Here's St Gloriana (well almost).

If you are looking for the best all around German military mind of the war you are probably looking at Walter Model. Though he was a brutal bastard. Rommel and Guderian were brilliant generals in their own right, each had some strengths and weaknesses over the other, but in the end military tactics no matter how brilliant were going to win the day for Germany against all the enemies Hitler made. Rommel of course decided to think outside the box and planned to pull a Lee at Appomattox and surrender the German Armies in the West after Hitler was dead so that the war ends in 1944, but luck wasn't with him, Germany or the Plotters and the rest is history.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9SFwVMlMIc

The National Geographic channel did a good doctumenary (a short clip of it from the link above) about very reciently declassified wiretapping of German generals during the war and it shows the British knew a month before Rommel was forced to commit suicide what his plans were to try to save Germany and end the war about a year early.

The girls are more sociable than their historical counterparts. Rommel and Guderian were as insubordinate as hell.
In normal times massive insubordination among generals is a bad thing, but Guderian and Rommel weren't dealing with normal times or a normal leader. Who knows how they would have acted if they were being lead by someone they didn't come to think was a violent idiot.

This one is particularly interesting, as it shows emblems from other schools asides from the main ones we've seen.

Cool!

The center one on top (red and white) reminds me of the emblem for the 11th Armored Cavalry. They have an outstanding reputation; it would be awesome if there were some kind of homage to them.

I can see Black Forest Mountain academy, and Saunders, and is the third from the left along the bottom row St. Glorianna? And then Pravda?

St. Glorianna is small on the long wooden base next to Black Forest Peak.

Be interesting to see what all the rest of those are and what schools they are from.

Nice collection. Thouigh the Churchill looks small compared to the Matilda II, isn't it the Churchill supposed to be bigger?

Maybe you should add a Centurion tank too?
St. Gloriana also has one of those too.

Request.

Can someone please post the current DVD sales ranking?

Someone's been translating some info from a booklet detailing the history of Senshado. From the part of the translated info so far, it looks like GuP's alternate history goes way further than we thought:

It is said that female riders participated in these races, as a light body was advantageous and, while other ancient Olympic events were normally held in the nude, clothing was permitted. Of particular interest is Cynisca, the daughter of the Spartan king Archidamus II, who became a champion of these ancient Olympic sensha races (though as the owner of the horse, not as the rider), and in a single act increased the participation of females."
Will post more of the translations as they become available.

Ah you caught me!

It's not a Churchill, it's actually a Cromwell as a stand in... while my collection grows I'm forced to use a few proxies...

Well, Earl Gray did use a Cromwell during her tenure at St. Gloriana before Darjeeling's time

Have they ever named the driver of Darjeeling's Churchill? Chai hasn't been taken yet.

I know they've never shown another tank crewman other than Pekoe and Assam, but someone has to be driving it!

We saw at least one of the Matilda II commanders and heard the voice of someone from one of the other Matildas.

Saunder's and Pravda have the largest seen members of their tank units. We only have Kay as a commander in her tank, but we have slightly more in Alisa and Niomi's tanks, plus Rock and Charlie tanks. None of them have names, but some have voices and definate character models.

While we only see Katushya and Nonna in their respective tanks (though it seems Nonna is a tank commander, she swapped as a gunner of the IS-2). We see at the crew of the flag T-34 and some others that were used to communicate with their enemy...plus dancers.

The other teams so far only have a small handful of people...plus Anzio.

I'm sort of split between Gotthard Heinrici and Albert Kesselring. None of them were a match for the best Soviet commanders though.

Hitler wasn't really the problem for either of them. Guderian clashed most often with von Kluge and Rommel exceeded his orders leading to disaster in North Africa.

The standard sales pattern is that the vast majority of purchases are in the first week. In the case of Jojo, it had about 19~ thousand sales in the first week, and the rest the second week. This pattern does not apply to Girls und Panzer Volume 1 because they printed only a fraction of the actual demand. This total represents the culmulative sales after 8 weeks, with over 1000 purchases last week. I don't know if supply is still a problem.

As such, almost all of the Jojo sales have already been tallied, while there may be several thousand potential sales for Girls und Panzer. There's also been a Volume 1 Regular Edition announced for Girls und Panzer, so that number may rise even more.

For anyone interested, all of these voices were performed by seiyuu voicing other characters. For example, the Katyusha chorus was sung by pretty much the whole cast.
