Why is best adventure not with the other genre categories?
Still not sold on the split between slice of life and relaxing and carefree, I feel like we'll just see the same series nominated in both. If you guys really want it though, I don't mind.

That's me, pretty much. I think it's huge overkill to have both and I'm sure I'll only vote in one of them (probably SoL) but if you guys want it that's your call. I got the additions I was hoping for so it's all good.

The original complaint is that it overlapped far too much with Best Fantasy and Best Sci Fi, and felt a bit too "generic".
I think it all comes down to finding the right balance with these categories and how competitive we want them to be versus how fair they need to be.

Well, to be honest I'm not entirely convinced that the Adventure category is a genre that can stand on it's own two legs. Any nominations in that genre you’ll find in the Fantasy (or Slice of Life) category. Unlike the Action category for example, I just can’t see it producing any uniqueness or variation in its nominations.

Thank you everyone for the effort put forward in these awards. Like ppl have said I'll probably be using this as a reference for all the stuff I missed this year. Currently going through the 2017 list
