I must've missed it...but where did you guys got the info that next chapter would be serious?

Nothing official, I just think the last chapters just scream filler. And if he wants to make chapter 350 something special he kinda needs to stall until then.

That is so true IMO, as I've always felt as if Ken Akamatsu has been trying to use stall tactics in order to save up something good until a milestone chapter (whether it is dragging out the Negi/Rakan fight to a whole volume or having Poyo show up just as Negi and his crew are about to storm the Gravekeeper's Palace).

Look like Eva-chan didn't expect Akira to break out of that "Ice Cube Trap" that Eva-chan used to catch Akira and Negi.

Love teh scene between Eva-chan and Satsuki which Eva-chan tried to "avoid" that, very interesting.

well ... wasn't all Filler ... Yotsaba came more into her established character as "only sane man" prehaps even going so far to say that she's the class' "Hive consiousness"

That and we know that they've changed enough allready that the Scenario ending with Chao no longer exist (or is very much less likely?) ... given our knowlegde from their '7 days into the future' subact doing Mahorafest Future is a fickle thing at best which is able to change

The story have allready internally proved that Time Paradoxes works by spilting into new timelines (else '7 days into the future' wouldn't have happened since that wasn't Chao's future either, meaning that she couldn't create it since then she wasn't there to create it which ... yeah ...)

When he was training inside the scroll with Eva he told her he loved her but she told him to never repeat such word not even to her real form. So basically even if they force him he has his orders to not disclose who he loves. I wonder if besides her does he like somebody else?

He has a very different perspective when he says he loves someone. It's not love as a boy liking a girl, it's more like love as "They are a precious family member to me."

Am I the only person who believes some spectrum of the Tenchi solution is going to be what we get at the end of the show?

Personally, my "best" ending scenario involves Negi ending up with both Asuna and Nodoka, given how Asuna is most likely going to be Negi's true partner in magic while Nodoka pretty much deserves to be Negi's "partner in love" given what we've seen in the manga.

This has got to be a new record. Usually my favorite characters are those who get the least amount of screentime, but this is the first time my favorite character never existed.

My grief aside, this arc was... pretty much pointless filler. I really don't mind rest chapters after major arcs that much, but at least make them have a point. Some actual development on the romantic front instead of dancing around before returning to the status quo. I just hope we get back on track again next chapter.
