every kage went back to their village and received report that the 5 feudal lord agreed to team up.Some extra scenes and flash back,and also Kankuro's puppet room is creepy lol.

Have to agree about next weeks episode..though I think it's only a one off fingers crossed..
Not much on this episode just alot of dialogue..

I don't know if the next episode is filler, because i saw a couple of things in the preview that aren't fillers at all. Anime team is doing something wise that they did in the last episode and in this too: to add extra scenes (Gaara's scenes, Konohamaru, etc). I think that is better than the never ending flashbacks.

The anime is close again to the manga... and i think is better to add extra scenes than a filler arc.

Didn't you watch today's episode? You really think this crap is better than having a proper filler arc and then a proper canon arc?

It was until they started getting whiny about the interview. Honestly had to mute them after they repeated themselves 10 times.

Anyways starting to move into war prep. Of course Konoha has a few things to deal with like getting Kakashi set up in his position and possibly dealing with Root if they cause problems.

That was one creepy puppet room, but it's Kankuro's style so what can you say. Still going to be tough to deal with issues between all the parties. Even if the Kages and the Feudal Lords get the situation you are bound to have idiots too wound up in rivalries to understand that losing this will be the end of them all.

According to wikipedia episode 220 is titled "The Great Toad's Prediction" which is manga so hopefully no filler arc.

It depends... Naruto's fillers aren't any good either. At this point is difficult to think in a good and funny filler arc, it should be something related to the past because the current situation (we're facing an open war).

So: This crap > Filler (In Naruto at least, because Bleach fillers are better than the manga )

But you can skip them, then enjoy well done canon. If they don't want to do fillers and as a result the canon stuff is poorly executed, then there really is no point to the series.

I understand your point, i agree with that. But, IMHO, i don't think that this is poorly executed, anime team can use another characters (i love how Mei always get mad at Ao ) and not only Naruto, Sasuke, etc. Last week we saw Bee's concert, that was fine, again, it's just my opinion

OTOH, the "utakata arc" or "yuukimaru and guren arc" weren't that good.

Yes, you can skip them... i skip most of the fillers from the time skip, but at the end i had a feeling like i was missing something (well... i wasn't ). So that's why i don't like to skip them.

Fillers after Konoha was attacked by Pain were actually good (old ninja was awesome), but the moment was different.

They need to do Konoha High as a filler arc, it'd be epic.

Can we please get over this filler vs canon sh*t? If you look at the episode list, you'd see that there's no filler arc coming yet and that we're only getting one of those funny episodes (Like 'What's under Kakashi's mask?' type of episode) because Gai wouldn't take Kakashi's nomination to Hokage sitting down and the Manga completely glossed over it.

The episode itself dealt with canon and was similar to the last episode. The only negative might have been the long Sasuke flashback. The anime merely expanded on certain scenarios and dialogue to give more character development. Nothing wrong with that since there is no way Kishi can fit everything into 17 pages.

The anime is best at filling in canon(Temari vs Tenten, etc) rather than creating their own story(every filler arc).

Anyway, I liked seeing Temari and Shikamaru. So I am easy to please. Next week will probably be mostly filler, but who cares? Like Frenchie said, it shows Gai's natural reaction to Kakashi becoming Hokage and more background on their rivalry.

I don't agree with that, not in the last couple of episodes. To me they are clearly stalling and this kind of episodes are anything but enjoyable.

At least the next episode looks like the right kind of filler. A good idea that makes sense and is a good way to expand on story, and certainly won't bore.

wow.. and i hated on them for putting fillers in, they are catching up. I fear that during the (inevitablde, inmho) time skip, theres going to be another 200 filler episodes.. and theyll start a new series.. OHH NOOOOOOOOO
