Guilty Gear Xrd Rev2 announced. Arcade version in Spring, console version release tentative.
Adds Baiken and Answer. Also adds arcade mode scenarios for Jam, Haehyun, Raven and Dizzy.
This will the conclusive version of Revelator, with a full character rebalance that includes new moves for each character.

It's a downloadable update for PS3, PS4 and Steam. For PS4 it will also have a standalone purchase option if you don't have the original Revelator (PS3 version has no standalone release, only downloadable upgrade).

Sorry it's not update... It's seems that's just new version of the game with update from Xrd to Xrd2 as DLC. If you leave that "downloadable update' someone might think that would be free.

I said "downloadable" which would imply DLC. I also mentioned the standalone purchase which imply the update is also paid (just not as much as the standalone). If you think that's too vague, I'm sorry.

Don't mind paying for upgrades. Beats paying for the entire game all over when only several characters are changed and very few are added.
Given how the fighting game industry is very niche don't really care if it's expensive at this point; just glad it exists.

About time, they needed to do this as opposed to "Extend" editions... it's not exactly going to be as good as Super SFIV (paid Arcade Edition update, free 2012 patch, paid Ultra update) but still a massive improvement on past form aside from BBCS > BBCS II....

Personally I'll be happy with XRD3, patch + more DLC, whatever XRD3s subtitle is II paid update. going forth.....

They'll obviously go with Bridget for XRD 3 whenever that comes out with new story etc...

Anyway can't wait to play Baiken.
