I made a thread of "what to bring with you if you are moving to a fantasy world (and won't be able to return for at least 30 years)" on 4chan and unintentionally spoiled myself on future events in this novel, which made me drop it.

BTW, leading suggestions were "antibiotics", "guns/bullets" and "lots of manuals".

Oh, and my first action would be to make exactly such a thread - two heads are better than one, one has to exploit the advantages of Internet Hivemind.

Pretty much everything related to childcare is done by the maids, leaving him without much to do. In fact, he's actually not allowed to interact much with little Carlos (think that's the name).

The reason is because of the nature of Language. We all sort of suspended our disbelieve when Zenjirou, who is Japanese, could communicate perfectly with the people of Carpa, which I think is a somewhat Hispanic-like country in another world. However, there actually is a real reason behind it. There's something of a universal translation spell on that world, the details of which Zenjirou learned about early on when he tried recording Aura's lecture on magic for later review, but when he tried replaying it it just all came out as gibberish to him.

The problem that arises after Carlos is born is that, basically, due to how the translation spell actually works, Carlos needs to learn a single language properly for it to work right in the future, and a bilingual environment could hamper that process and lead to confusion in his language development that might adversely affect how the translation spell will apply to him later in life.

Thus, until Carlos himself learns to talk, Zenjirou is pretty much forbidden from speaking Japanese to him. At this point, all Zenjirou is allowed to do is silent interaction and the one phrase that Zenjirou can properly speak in the "south continent western language" without any pronunciation mistakes (as vetted by Aura): "It's daddy".

Well actually I think it was better, for the child to get know the world of mother sides as the child should be learned the father sides when the time is right, like when the father's go back to the previous world of his.

Contrary to what we might think, Zenjirou actually has a certain amount of "scheduled work time", although most of it isn't actually literally work. He also brought a ton of stuff like DVDs to watch or games to play for when he's alone and isn't working on a personal project.

As for work, other than his regularly scheduled magic lessons with Octavia, he actually does have a bit of involvement when it comes to politics, in that he basically has to.

Although both he and Aura would prefer for him to not get involved, it is necessary for him to make appearances. Otherwise, it's possible that rumors of "the Queen is oppressing her husband" will get started, so he needs to actively appear every now and again in court, and treat with nobles by himself (separate from Aura), to counter any possible rumors of Aura forcibly controlling him or anything.

Keep in mind that from the point of view of Carpa culture, what's expected is for Zenjirou to take the reigns in governmental affairs, as well as keep a harem. What Zenjirou and Aura wants is contrary to that expectation though, so they need to do PR stuff to actively give the impression that the contrariness to expectation isn't due to Aura forcing Zenjirou down, but what Zenjirou wants himself. That means making appearances in court and stuff like that...


Building on that, it also means before Zenjirou could make appearances and stuff, he needs to study up on various stuff like courtly protocol, the who's who of nobility, general etiquette, etc...

Generally, he tends to support Aura from outside the spotlight. He also sometimes work on his own personal projects, like making alcohol, soap, or reinventing other little bits of Earth knowledge/technolog. Aura also appreciate them, as they tend to end up pretty enjoyable for her at least or end up raising the royal revenue at best.

Hmm although i would prefer this to be harem, but the description sounds enjoyable and to be truthful i also like the idea of MC being monogamist since in many WN the characters seems to get girls for free (and second since queen is has quite mature body so i'm not afraid that author add to harem some loli - too much lolis i've seen in last WN)

A nice change to the trend, the motive the MC is summoned is for sticking to a single girl, maybe people will try to force a harem on him but at least is not the usual guy who can't decide and in the end is implied he go with the undeserving tsundere.
