The other characters are okay. Hayato is fine I guess, pretty unremarkable among other MCs in those shows, but not actively unlikable. Clarie is cool, I like her hardass attitude.

I dunno, I'll try for one more episode, maybe I'll like it more.

I think it would be entertaining to wait until the end of the season and then count how many posts can be summed up as "this is bad because it's a cliché" or "I've already seen this in (insert IS clone here)".

Claire is elitist plain and simple. We've seen plenty so we learned to deal with it. But Emile goes accepting the challenge without Hayato's input. That is annoying, but I'd overlook that as long as she's more helpful than Houki.

That's why is ok to complaint now that is just the first episode, after that just keep the discussion on topic, like pointing that X girls is good or cute, same goes for the bad points of each episode.

We already know what kind of series is this and if we're going to point this thing again then do that at the last episode as an overall review.

Yes, I know this is an IS clone, this point has been made quite clear. Both could be counted up at the end really, and frankly I'm sure that the "hey it's another IS clone!" count would outnumber the "don't mess with my harem!" posts with ease. This isn't the only show that can decay to this, but we've already seen from just the first episode a rather large number of people basically saying "it's been done". And that's what gets to me, the whole matter can be summed up in those three words: it's been done. And yet we got post after post talking about how it's been done, just like several other series had post after post repeating the same thing.

I don't think I've seen people threaten to report on account of complaints before. Yes it's a harem, and yes part of the reason I'll probably watch it is I don't really dislike harems. But my problem is not at all that people are complaining. It's that people are complaining about the same thing in the same way, not even bringing in additional points a lot of the time. If you're going to riff this for being cliché, at least you can come up with something that hasn't been said several times already. I didn't say people shouldn't complain, only that complaining about the unoriginality of something when someone else has already broken down the problems with the same scene, all it really does is bloat the page and make it difficult to find discussions of other things. It can get annoying if you have to go through a few pages of dialog repeating how overdone a theme is just to find a discussion of another aspect of the most recent episode.

In summary, if you're complaining about unoriginality, at least please try to make a post that hasn't been done more often than this story.

Better to see people be critical yet like something than for them to be blinded drooling fanboys that get mad anytime any kind of criticism that arises.

In my personal opinion this is IS if Charles was the main girl, that's how is see it and if I find something to complain about I will and just because a few peoples feeling might get hurt won't stop me from posting my complaints, someone doesn't like them they are free to choose to jump to the next post (yeah, it is that easy).

If people are complaining about one thing all at once and about the same thing, shouldn't that be an indicator that there really is a problem? The concept is another IS clone no matter how you look at it. That's where the complaints are centered at, we don't know enough about the characters to judge them fully yet but from what was seen so far, it's not promising.

An infection caused by the Savages that would grant, whoever it is unique abilities to use in battle that would cause them to slowly transform into a Savage the more they use it.

Most of the people who complain probably fall under the "It's generic, but it's a harem so I'll watch it regardless how bad it is" too lol. I dislike the series but I still watch it anyways because the genre is enjoyable to me. The only aspect that stands out imo is Emil's personality which is a little refreshing. It seems like more of a modern cookie cutter setup or maybe just a GA Bunko+MF bunko J scheme, did not really see this type of novel intro before so often. I don't think any harems that I have read outside of those publishers got this treatment. Really wish other publishers got a chance to adapt their harem novels.

I'm just asking people to keep things in control. I am not a "drooling fanboy" by any stretch of the imagination, and if a complaint is just a part of a bigger post that's fine. Just because I don't like hearing the exact same thing over and over again doesn't mean I'm trying to defend anything. I'm just saying that the redundancy is getting a little silly. There's nothing wrong with discussing the pros and cons of a series, and yeah a person just gushing about it and denouncing complaints without giving reason is plenty annoying. But whether it's a complaint or a praise, it will get frustrating if you want to discuss a point and have to go through pages full of the exact statement just to find something else. That's why I simply suggested that if all you have to say has been said five times already, we probably don't need a sixth. If it's an ongoing discussion, that's a different matter. Rewording or reinforcing assertions is not repetition. Saying little more than "It's Ichika reincarnated" when several other people already said "It's another IS clone" is repetition, and it gets old fast.

My first thought when I watch this and when Emile comes up, I thought she was exactly the same as Charles (Charlotte)...
I guess this was the effect of Charles being popular back in IS.

BTW, I also thought Emile was a girl due to her voice even if she was supposedly crossing as a guy.

BTW, not sure if just Sub or Real, but during the practice Emile said to Hayato "I am going to ride you hard"... is that how it is or was ride suppose to be train? (either way, da Doujin material...)

Another BTW... I just noticed now that most MC in these type of shows always uses Swords or Melee Weapons and very little Range Weapons... what's up with that?

The stereotype of the protagonist "hero" is that he/she will use a sword. Even if the setting the story in would make using a sword rather impractical.

Really, Hayato should be relieved if Emile is actually a female.
Just look at Hayato's face when he was told Emile is a male for first time, in his head I think he might have felt really disturbed.

And during their practice match, Emile saying to Hayato he doesn't want to be stared.
That rather implies strongly Emile himself that he is really Ga.... for Hayato.

As far as I can see, I have not heard about a country where a male pushes down an another male to the ground and hug to greet a fellow student.
