I know you guys keep hoping for a second season of SE and wutever but I wouldnt get your hopes up. Especially about a remake. FMA is getting one cause BONES knows its a cash cow. SE.. not so much. Besides, remaking a series that already uses the latest technology in animation a few years after its aired is simply ridiculous. That'd basically be a collossal waste of money, redoing something thats already still relatively new.

I could see them doing OVAs though if they ever plan on continuing the series.

Hi! I'm new to the forums.
Does anybody else think that maybe the reason Death the Kid has such bad OCD is because he's going to become some kind of God of Order??? You know, anti-chaos/insanity. After all, the Shinigami's are basically the upholders of the law in their world. I just like to think of him that way ^.^ Sounds cool doesnt it? The GOD OF ORDER! i digress...

I liked the podcast. Hearing you speak about the ending in such a nice manner. Was sweet!

Usually when people type stuff like that I get mad about them for forgiving such a crappy ending. But i feel like I can tell from the voices that you endjoyed the series and in the end that's all that matters.

Yeah, the ending definitly had problems, but I don't think it negated all the fun I had before the ending. Its too bad, because I think the animators were trying to do something different. I think if they only had a few more episodes they might have been able to pull it off.

As I didn't see anybody mention it yet.

Soul Eater is getting a re-broadcast on six television stations, starting on September 30, 2010 at 18:00 on TV Tokyo and TV Osaka.

The newly titled Soul Eater Repetition (ソウルイーターリピートショー) will feature a new Opening theme by UNISON SQUARE GARDEN, with the title Counter Identity and a new Ending theme by Makino Yui, with the title Ao no Kaori.

It is the first time Unison Square Garden provide a theme single for an anime, unlike Makino Yui, who previously provided the theme songs for the Aria franchise amongst others.

The release date for Makino's new single is slated for November 10, 2010. Amazon

The two new themes will be accompanied by newly animated videos. The staff as follows:

Opening Storyboard&Direction by Ikezoe Takahiro, Animation Supervision by Nagasaku Tomokatsu
Ending Storyboard&Direction&Animation Supervision by Shibata Jun
Chief Animation Supervision by Soul Eater's character designer Itou Yoshiyuki

It's a re-broadcast, and no, the manga is still very far from ending.

New theme songs? I take it there's going to be new animation for the opening and ending credits, then? Well, actually, of course there'll be, unless they're planning to sync the old animation up to the new songs, and only dorks do stuff like that. Like myself.

I wonder if the rebroadcast will include the Late Show version.

Spoiler for For the slower ones amoung us...: It looks exactly like the jacket Soul wore It looks exactly like the jacket Soul wore before he decided to swap it for the black one... Sans the collar and the Soul Eater emblem of course. This might have been Atsushi's 'inspiration' for Soul's original outfit or more interesting yet; it may be a outright Soul Eater rip off by an overzealous designer contracted by the Redskins. Either that or none of the above (a lot of baseball jackets are sorta similar design). See what I'm talking about?
