Ange is a saint. I don't see how she let the members of the 'Hate Ange' club off so easily. I wouldn't have totally blamed her if she tortured them slowly.

Well, hopefully some other studio will pick it up in the future...

Although, we should at least be happy ONE studio manage to reenact the Umineko Series, although it's a bit crappy.

However! This episode brought more plot and question of the existence of Rokkenjima. Rokkenjima is truly a Scrognier's Cat (Or something). Anything can happen. Anythign can occur. This "Anything", meaning "Beatrice", killed everyone.

Although, the preview of episode 26 seems to show tons of feeling. I doubt the

would last long though.
Has anyone realized the rushness of the episodes show that there's NO change of backround to represent Red and Blue Truth?
If they don't do the fight, then that'll kill all the hype I had for Blue Truth. I never like the Ange parts and was hoping for more Battler and Beatrice fights. It's true that some of them were necessary but others were just not needed and kinda bore me to death. All I can look forward to is a second season where they don't have 4 episodes to cover.

Yeah you're right, a lot of others stories have been butchered even worse. ^^;

Chaos Head was fine. The main character however should have been dragged out and shot staked then killed for good measure.

Chaos;Head was not fine.

They cut the best chapter in the game and gave us a crappy filler episode.

On the bright side, he provides a new ANSI standard for Anime Main Character Loserdom, beating out the previous archetype, Shinji Ikari.

Blah, I was gonna say "Maybe it'd be good for Madhouse to do Umineko since they are good at making talky scenes epic like in Death Note!" Then Chaos;Head gets brought up. *facepalms

A new character to steal the award is Ren Mihashi (Ookiku Furikabutte) i fell off my chair in shock.

As far as the current Umineko episode goes there is nothing much to talk about. It was well rounded, had alot of meat and for the first time in months was an episode you could put your trust in without relying on VN'ners. keeping in mind that this will ruin the finale.

If it wasn't for that however, I'd say that I wished that all the umineko episodes were like this one. The problem is that if they were we'd have 50-60 of them instead of 26. But that was the only way Umineko could be decently adapted into an anime, too bad for money constraints...

At least Umineko is not as bad as Tsukihime anime. Oh wait, there's no such a thing as Tsukihime anime...

check 4chan, if ep 26 is bad, it's going to be the next tsukihime anime, even though higurashi was butchered worse it was more entertaining to watch

I've been saying it from the beginning. Umineko would need a year long anime (around 50 episodes) to have the chance of being an excellent TV series. I believe that even DEEN and Chiaki Kon would be able to realize that chance if they had the span of some 50 episodes available.

It would still be kinda underwhelming in a many parts but it wouldn't make the fans rage as in this 26 episodes version.

Of course the 50+ episodes scenario could have only happened in case they decided to make two seasons or one season including only the first two Episodes.

However the low DVD sales are way too bad even considering Deen failures. So economically speaking planning such a long term project would have been pretty bad for them.

The low DVD sales are likely in large part because the adaptation sucks, though.

It could have been done reasonably well in 3 cours, I think...

basically, with a slower pace all episodes would have been like this one or like episode 5, the mood would be built better, one would care a bit more about the deaths, and more importantly, we would have proper characterization and text battles.
