Shirou was irritating me multiple times for multiple reasons this episode, but not nearly as much as that news at the end, even when I was already expecting it.

So, Saber has been forced to become Caster's slave, Shirou has lost his Command Seals (though how was Caster able to steal them from him when it seems he already used his last one in that battle?), and Caster seems to have a plan to obtain the Grail that she can immediately put into action...

Wait how is this only the halfway point? I mean yeah, all the Servants except Rider are still in the game and even then Shinji has teamed up with Blondie (Obviously not his actual name) meaning that there are still seven contestants in the battle, but with this cliffhanger ending, it just seems weird to think that we still have another twelve episodes to go...

there is no question about why Rin lost all her respect toward him

Poor Saber though.. She is sacrificed in foolish way
Shirou actually almost treat her like a tool

So there are two Grails? Lesser grail and big grail? so confusing

Closing this adaptation with "This Illusion" is unfair.. that NOSTALGIC feelings are coming back
I don't even notice they have different singer.. great job Lisa

completely satisfied with this adaptation
Rin is cuter and Shirou is more mature and aware with his surrounding
Kirei also being badass again

He can save Saber later but can't save Taiga if she is dead...

Um, looks like you entirely misunderstood her? She respects Shirou more than ever. Hello, he just took a fatal stab wound to save her life! She's only trying to take away Shirou's motivation to fight to keep him safe.

Rin doesn't "respect" Shirou. She feels bad for him. She sees his broken side.

But you are right, she was just acting cold at the end of the episode.

dammmmnnnnn we have to wait, though at least i'm glad we know how long to wait, and not just hoping enough sales would happen for them to announce an S2 like other anime usually do.
