Perhaps both? A port of EXTRA and CCC with another, new, story added on.

I'd like an F/E remake honestly. The game had a lot of potential but felt heavily restricted and could have used a larger world.

And contrary to some reviews I read before, the difficulty is fair and manageable.

In addition to that I just noticed that the site is counting down hours.

It will be done in 72 hours now which will make it done in around 6 more days.

And the official announcement for new anime project ( original news to this thread ) is much later after that - on 27'th of March ( 9 days after this site goes online ).

What are the chances of new F/E game and anime series?

^In Japanese you pronounce "Extra" and "Extella" in the exact same way AFAIK.

Extra in Japanese would be either エクストラ (E-ku-su-to-ra) or エキストラ (E-ki-su-to-ra). They don't use "te" for it.

Type-Moon uses the former spelling for Extra, so by extension, Extella would probably be エクステラ (e-ku-su-te-ra) or エクステーラ (e-ku-su-tee-ra), based on recognized spellings of the name "Stella". Similar, but not much more similar than they already are in English. Definitely not the same word.

Turns out the name is spelled on purpose. Fate/Extella for the PS4/Vita had been announced.

Didn't honestly expect a new game, but welcome nonetheless.

It's nothing unusual, checking the source code for websites is something anyone intreasted and knowledgeable enough can do and had done for much bigger games in the past.

Only 12 more days. But giving how this information came out now, only shortly before Ufotable is going to announce new Fate project really makes you wonder will we get Fate/Extra anime with new game in package as well?

Why would there be? Japan has virtually no interest in a PC version. I'm pretty sure even PS4 sales will lose out to the Vita version, since they prefer handheld and mobile gaming.

The only reason a PC version is ever announced is to appeal to the West, like with Final Fantasy. Even for Bamco's Tales of games, the PC port was announced explicity for the West and did not exist when the game was released in Japan.

And in Fate/Type-Moon's case, they neither have interest in marketing the game to the West, nor do they (or any third party localization team) have a team dedicated to making that port happen like Square-Enix and Bamco do.

I think as far as Sony is concerned, you just answered your own question.

EDIT: Looked into it, and it seems to be a semi-sequel to Extra, and there appears to be a Dynasty Warriors-esque aspect to the gameplay, but knowing Nasu, I doubt that's all there is to it. Takeuchi says that it's "more than a sequel to Extra", so there's probably some of the other properties' characters in it as well. Saber Attila has already been announced as a character, along with Saber Nero and Caster Tamamo no Mae.
