[MANGA] What was the most disappointing thing/event in Naruto?
Hi,
I hope a thread like this doesnīt allready exist, though I couldnīt find any. So here I go: What was the most disappointing thing or event in Naruto? To me it was when Sasuke defeated Oro. I really were disappointed in how weak Orochimaru was at that point. He once was the super evil genius, and now look at him.... Another disappointing thing....well it was Asuma himself. Come on, he didnīt do anything important...except rescuing Shikamaru one time. But imagine, he had to be saved from Kakashi, when Itachi/Kisame infiltrated Konoha....he was beaten up by a bunch of prisoners in the filler-episodes and he died just WAY too easily by Hidan. Iīve even come to think of him as becoming Jounin just because he was the son of Sandaime...

The most disappointing thing in Naruto was Narutos FRS and the defeat of Kakuzu and Hidan. That arc just didnt sit well with me because of how stupid Naruto jutsu is and how easily Hidan and Kakuzu were defeated.
Oro's defeat was also really lame. I expected more from him. Last edited by BlackShinobi07; 2007-07-17 at 20:10. |

The biggest problem is the lack of detail for anything thats not immediate to the story. Most of the ninja villages are unkown, more than half the cast is cannon fodder, the jinchuuriki/bijuu seem interesting but have been regulated to single panel death scenes, medical ninja, non-ninja folk, ANBU, etc.
Kishimoto's refusal to expand on anything that isn't naruto or sasuke is baffling. There's also the sannin battle arc, but everybody knows how horrible that is so there's really no need to elaborate. |

I agree if Kishi took some time to explain things to us then we wouldn't have to make threads speculating about them. |

Hard to think anything worse than Kazukuīs death. The way such smart villain was got from behind by such a simple trick was terrible. He deserved a better death.
Also Narutoīs growth in part 2, all he gets are 3 variations of the same jutsu and all do the same. That was terrible. |

Yah, I'd say Kakuzu's death was most disappointing for me too. He had the potential to be really strong with his 4 separate elemental bodies and stuff but was sacrificed to show Naruto's rasenshuriken. More so, unlike Hidan (who Konoha had prior engagement with and so knew about), it was his first real battle that we saw too.

Also, I dodn't like it when the Third Hokage died. His death seemed like a waste, since he couldn't kill Orochimaru, only paralyze his arms.

None of the ex-genins took on an akatsukian on their own except for Sasuke (and also Gaara, but he was killed by Deidara). Also Shikamaru fought the weakest and dumbest akatsuki member, and that was his chance make a brilliant plan to survive. Of course to make the plan Asuma's sacrifice was also needed.

Well that's how Naruto really is based upon. Will power more than anything. Someone will piss him off about a certain event in his life, like mentioning Sasuke like Orochimaru did and he then grows the tails. Will power pulls him through almost any fight.
