I preordered the European Continuum Shift Extend. It looks like a good purchase. I haven't played BlazBlue from Calamity Trigger so I'm really looking forward to jumping in again with extra features and characters. Especially as I want to try Makoto. :3

Finally pick this one up.
*sigh* It took me one week to play this game because of damned college At the beginning it was pretty hard because I haven't touch this series for a very long time (heck I even played like a caveman ). After fiddling around with challenge mode, I think I finally got the hang of it a bit. I'm not that good though, even the last time I played this game I was still stuck at level 3-4 challenge mode for every characters. The new story mode was interesting. I think they're trying to give a couple of hints about some mystery in Blazblue...many of them are still confusing though Also, the 4 new characters gag ending was hilarious

I am thinking of getting this game. I have a PS3. Which version should I get? BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend?
I'm a noob with fighting games, and I know BlazBlue has complexity to it. Is Makoto a hard character to learn to play? Moderate? Easy? What about Noel? Also, is an arcade pad preferred for this game? I know it is for most arcade fighters.

The difficulty depends on the complexity of certain characters. Jin Kisaragi, Shishigami Bang and Ragna the bloodedge are easy to learn and to play characters, while characters like Taokaka and Carl Clover can be quite difficult in both ways. Every character is quite unique in their own way (each having distinct move sets and differet playing styles), unlike certain games in which some characters are mostly the same (points at capcom). |

Yes, get the Extend version, since it's the latest and is included all of previous DLCs.
Easy to learn would be Ragna. Makoto isn't that hard, but not easy either. And I guess you mean arcade stick? That thing is definitely preferable if you are used to it.

Makoto was quite easy if you end up memorizing her drives. But she has dropped to bottom tier in extend anyway.
A stick is preferred for some players (and if you are used to a stick, then characters like Arakune, Carl and Tager can be easier to play than a pad), but not essential. |

Hey, has anyone else heard the vocal renditions from this recent album yet? I only discovered it a few hours ago:
Spoiler for A few more, conserving space:
They ended up giving lyrics to actual character themes I've been wanting for a while now. In English no less.~ I'm very pleased. While pretty much all the tracks on it are great, my favorites are probably the variations of Ragna and Hazama's themes. Damn does Ishiwatari know how to do metal. >o< _\m/

To each his own I suppose. The only one I'm not really fond of is Awakening the Chaos. It just doesn't sound very well executed and the lyrics are all un-synched with the music.
Also I can't say I think the lyrics are goofy. They suit the characters pretty well. For example, Hazama is a sadistic sociopath and that's what the lyrics in his songs represent. No problem there.~ I thought with at least Active Angel and Rubble Song on there, there would at be at least one song on the album for everybody.
