Eushully's been teasing about this remake since Himegari's release, and after all these years, they finally come through with it.

Ecstatic is the appropriate reaction. This is, after all, Eushully throwing a bone to their old fans.

I thought it was more like a desperation attempt to get back old fans that left the eushully train after their "continuous train-wrecks."

I thought you'd peeved with the art since they're using the new guy more often now

Not really. They've hinted at the remake since way back when. Sure, the timing is suspicious, but why should I waste the time being cynical and bitter when I can just be happy over this piece of good news?

Check the artists involved. Their old artist, 鳩月つみき, is the one behind most of the art of the main characters - the cover art is just deceptive in that it makes Celica look like he was drawn by みつき (the artist who I don't like). 鳩月つみき and やくり are taking the helm with the character art, though, and nothing couldn't make me any happier.

And for those who aren't too into Celica or his epic, this coming out might mean that Eushully's hints of a new Genrin title might just come true as well. So there's Louie to look forward to (I guess; merely speculating here)!

And I don't mind new protagonists or stories.. as long as a the battle system is not a mess like Madou Koukaku

edit:I just remembered that this takes place right after Verita, timeline-wise. We might get some Menfil side cameo characters

Well, from what I remember, Eushully teased about a possible Genrin 3, not a remake. Still, whether or not we'll get a new Genrin title is sort of up in the air for now.

System was already shown in the site, so you don't have to worry.

Spoiler:

It's reminiscent of the standard IM battle system, with full character sprites. Summons seems to have been upgraded to three slots, so there's that. Map exploration is just like before, too.

Yep!

Combat screen still looks cluttered and messy though, so they're still continuing that long-lived tradition.

1 needs to go away. I know thats how the old UI is like but its far too "long" and ugly. Move it to 4.

2. needs to be moved aside

3. needs to be bigger. More centered. The two character sprites, especially the enemy sprite to the right is far too big.

Also, angels.

Now here's something to look forward to. Madou Koukaku made me rage.

I really hope not. I personally like Eushully's art a lot(especially in recent years). Hate to see it going to waste.
