I have a confession...I like Okada. :P

Okada paired with Trigger visuals and Shirow Miwa designs, hmm delicious. But I'm mostly here for the Okada drama. It's like a Harada BL manga, you pretty much know someone's going to get fucked, fucked up, and there will be suffering.

Also based on those character descriptions I feel like this is going to be one of those everyone's jerk but eventually learns to care type of stories.

People kept poking me about this so here ya go you twats.

Firstly, I never really liked trigger outside of little witch academia (the 2nd movie was also not as good) and I had mixed receptions with various gainax shows of past but trigger seems to show the part of gainax that I didn't really like.

In addition to that we have Mari okada on script which everyone on this forum knows by now how much she wants me to pull out my hair from my head with the shit she pulls out at times though lately I've become to realize how much better she is than some other popular writers (*cough jun maeda *cough).

So unsurprisingly unless it is actually good when it starts airing by the halfway mark then I won't be trying it. Same deal with the current gundam (franchise I don't really care about + okada).

And yes I'm in hibernation this season other than one punch man and some guilty pleasures like seraph s2 (shinoa) since this season sucks big time. Oh and comet lucifer because I love eureka 7 and a poor man e7 I guess is still decent.

why people dislike Mari Okada so much?
sure she has a dark history in her several works but most anime she directed were done alright like NagiAsu,Toradora,Anohana,HanaSaku Iroha,.....

The only show I've ever completely enjoyed Okada's writing for that was NOT based on an existing work was Nagi no Asukara.

She's not terrible (imo), I just really tend to dislike it when she dives off the deep end and tries to make convoluted and/or insane shit happen. If nobody in Kiznaiver cuts off their own hair and braids it into a friendship bracelet... I'll be good.

It's the first time I saw someone reference Harada's name here. Though I left the BL world a while ago, I always followed her works before because of these very things you mentioned. Whenever there's a new work in her name, it's hilarious how her readers brace themselves for the incoming damage.

Okada has knack when coming to write drama and romance genre
since Kiznaiver seem contains about those genre we can breathes for the result might wont be so messy.
