Hmmm, well I have some small Gundam figurines that double as pencil sharpeners. I also one a PVC at an anime club raffle at my school which turned out to be a Gunslinger Girl character in a maid outfit that my mother claims is bizarre. I'm not really the type to spend money on these kinds of things, or to spend money at all frankly. If one small figurine I won is enough to disturb my mother I don't want a whole bunch of em crowding my room.

So far I have the Toys Planning Misuzu figure from Air and all but the Asuna and Evangeline figures from the special editions of the Negima dvds. There's also the Kirasaki Sai figure, and the other day I got a pretty good deal winning an auction on the 2005 Comic Con Kirasaki Sui figure. There's also a Haseo figure that came with the first G.U. game and a KOS-MOS figure, but they're not really anime, but I'll count them. There's a bunch I plan to get in the future, and I'm really hoping they don't get discontinued before I can get them, like HLJ says the Kotobukiya Nayuki figure did. Bleh.

I'm looking forward to the Suigintou figure and revoltech Saber in May, but those will first require that I have money to spend. Also bleh.

And I'm going to go browse those sites you all posted and hopefully find something good. I want my figure collection to grow and surpass my friend's gunpla collection, though it will take some work.

Don't ask.

It was "the collectors' fever"...

1 set ~5.500 yen
3 set ~11.000 yen

probably because if one set gets damage and dirty, there is 2 more sets to play with.

Why don't the Japanese make action figures?

I've noticed this a lot. I've looked for figures of my favourite anime characters only to find they don't exist. Only Gasaphons, PVCS, keychains dolls, etc.

If you want figures of anime characters you generally have to wait until they come over to the US. Which sucks because when the japanese DO make action figures, they tend to be quite good. I just got some Japanese Robot Masters re-issues and I found them to be better quality than Hasbro's stuff.
Whereas you have companies like Toynami making bleach figures that may as well be statues.

I'm wondering why this is? What do kids play with? Are there no collectors in Japan(I find this odd)?

Creepy.

The only character I can think that could be accurately represented in that format is Nana from Elfen Lied >.>

What originally was a trip around town to find the new volume of Angel Sanctuary ended with me finding out that Hastings is carrying more figures now than they let on, and cheaper than I was previously finding them too. Thus did I find the newest piece of my slowly growing collection.

http://www.hlj.com/product/KBYPP-26

Saber is standing happily next to KOS-MOS and Misuzu now.

I have a SOul of Chogokin Combattler V on order, I want a Voltes V but at $220 USD I'm not sure. Next in this line will be a MAzinger Z or Getter Robo

Apart from that I have a few models/toys from Macross. Have the Max, Millia, Hikaru VF1's. Looking for the Roy VF1s 1/60 by Yamato. Currently in the build stage of the 1/100 Bandai models. Also looking for the SDF1 Macross model by Wave
