Christmas linkage! I just have to share this weird thing I stumbled over while searching for Sayonara, Zetsubou-sensei info:
http://blog.rekuru.com/2009/12/24/ho...hristmas-pt-1/ Some people have too much time on their hands. But it is pretty funny. I guess part two is coming soon...? |

Merry Christmas everyone. Going to see Avatar today and have a hot pot back at my house later on with some friends. Hopefully I can take some photos of the day in between time. It's good to have a break from the real world for a day.

I hope everyone had a joyful christmas... I have recieved some gifts, but not that many... Anyways, I spent most of the time trying to install a new HD in my laptop and spent hours doing that instead of playing with my other gifts.
Also, it's a rainy Christmas here... Never had a White Christmas for a long time.

So the people that just moved in down the street poisoned one of my mom's dogs for Christmas. Since the only vet in our area is closed until after New Year's, this means I'll probably have to put her down if she doesn't get better soon. Mom overheard them talking about "getting the other mutt too" earlier, so she's keeping her other dog in the house from now on. And since the guy that moved in is a new member of the local police department... well.
Merry Christmas, I guess. |

Not really, no. This time of year always depresses me because I'm on bad terms with my family, but this year it's worse than ever because I'm unemployed and living in a shelter.
I'm especially feeling like crap because earlier this week I finally landed an interview after a long dry spell of no calls, no e-mails and being given the run-around. I was feeling really good, until the inevitable rejection e-mail showed up. It's just got me feeling like shit.

I'm sure some would have liked the company too and general chit-chat? Btw, how is it you're online when unemployed, since I was gonna say, you could have bought yourself some cheap christmas related meal for the day?

Actually most of the people staying at the place left to go visit family members. I'm reasonably well-liked there, but I think some people are still uncomfortable talking to me, and nobody there yesterday really seemed inclined to talk much.
I get internets at the public library, doesn't cost anything. It's pretty much necessary these days since most businesses have all their HR and applications systems online.

Well... it didn't *quite* snow on the Yuletide or Christmas Day... but we seem to have gotten an unpredicted dusting that is close enough.

My short Christmas song story
Spoiler for Wonderful Christmas Time:
Every year I would listen to this song on the radio, not knowing who the artist was, my music taste have changed since then, and I've been listening to a huge variety of music, my core being rock like (e.g. Beatles, Paul McCartney, Led Zeppelin) I even got front row tickets to Paul McCartney's live concert in Chicago. So this year; like ever year I would hear this song on the radio, and I told my mom the dude singing this song sounded very very familiar. I came to the realization, All these years it was a Paul McCartney. Brilliant. |
