Yusuke Kobayashi is once again Isekai-ed, although this is probably more of the kind of Isekai experience Subaru wishes he had instead of what he ended up with. And instead of playing a fairly fit and gutsy hikikomori, Kobayashi is instead playing a fairly practical, intelligent, and rational Realist Hero .
The Opening is fairly nice, showing off Souma getting transported into the world and dealing with all the political figures, along with Liscia and other girls. It's also sung very well by Inori Minase . His grandpa wanted Souma to have a family, and I'm guessing through the people he collects as king, he'll gain one in the way he least expected to. Although did his grandpa imagine him having a Harem? Because it feels like he might have one . A hero gets summoned, but instead of being expected to save the world against demons, he's summoned...so they can sell him off to another nation because they don't have the resources to pay said nation back for the protection they're providing against demons. How...mundane. Although no wonder Souma is so ticked off at being summoned out of the blue and just sold off, although we really don't know enough about the Empire to think they're something he should be worried about, aside from the fact that they're ruled by a woman . Jeez, Albert seems so wishy-washy looking to Marx and his wife for answers every time he needs to answer something. No wonder he just foisted the job and his daughter on Souma when it seems like he might have the knowledge needed to reinvigorate the nation. Poor Souma just thought he'd get a job to save himself from being sold off, and instead he gets a whole kingdoms . It's all kinds of amusing to me that Yusuke Kobayashi and Inori Minase are paired together again, only this time Minase is finally the Main Heroine, although Liscia seems more like an Asuna Yuuki type than a Rem (who?). She has the bearing and the confidence of a princess, but she also has military training, and she seems to genuinely care for her kingdom even if she's more idealistic and invested in the kingdom personally than Souma is. I feel like they might make for a very interesting and dynamic pairing moving forward . Well, Liscia loses her royal status and gets engaged without her consent, but I guess now her parents can just relax and chill while she's not being forced to marry Souma, although I think it's probably likely things won't stay platonic and uninvolved between the two of them. Plus if she marries the king, she'll still be royalty . Souma's practical and knows where to allocate resources and how to use what he has at his disposal, and what economic moves need to be made. He probably can't swing a sword to save his life and doesn't know a lick about magic, but when it comes to economics he seems to be a master .
