I love the OP and ED of both Aquqrion series but Akino and Bless 4 pronounces their Japanese like a English speaker ( because they were brought up in the US, I understand that English is their main language) but its a little disturbing when I hear them perform live.
Obviously they edit the final recordings so that it sounds more natural to the Japanese, but it just bugs me every now and again.
Utada used to be like this too, but not as bad as Akino...

Great songs though.

There is a misconception here. For the Japanese people with superpowers are not one-trick ponies. Being an Element grants several powers in itself. As seen in the first episode of Aquarion, an Element has some kind of protection against Shadow Angels for example. Also they possess an aura and they can project it, as seen in episode 6. There are characters that clearly exhibit more then one power, like Gen and Rena, but there are also others that are more subtle about it. Think of the element as just the color of the mana they draw upon.

Although I doubt in Evol things will work the same as Genesis.

the opening shows her asleep in some kind of liquid. Then again, Amata's memories show her being grabbed by Aquarion. so maybe she is actually being held by Deava.

It's more like she's dead...or at least that's the impression I get of her.

She's also shown going into Aquarion, so I think that part of her is inside of Aquarion

Crea is the school principal while Zen is the supreme commander. The commander was just keeping the seat warm for them. (Definitely Rena and Gen)

Kagura leaves to Earth. Izumo irked but surprised a dimensional gate opened for him. Unknown to him Mykage is awake. Mykage has a white rose. (Reincarnation of Touma and Sirius?)


What happened nine years before. The passion between Donar and his girlfriend was too much like Apollonius/Apollo-Celiane/Silvia in the OVA. This is the reason a third pilot is important.

It awakened Mykage taking Donar's girl with him.

Hence this field trip with electric chastity bands. All except for Amata who is sniped by Donar.

Andy gets grouped with the frog and Mix. Sazanka is grouped with Cayene and Shrade. Both those two get shocked for their impure thoughts.

Amata, Mikono and Zessica grouped together. Zessica much teasing. Mikono jelly and Donar sniping him.

Amata and Mikono finally alone. Donar can't interfere due to vantage point. Love-love levels are high. Then Kagura shows up smelling and kissing Mikono. Shocking her.

According to Zen it isn't love. The triangle shows forbidden lovers.

Thanks to SkullFaerie's avatar of Zessi, I was able to find this anime...

watched the first two episodes without any understanding of the setting (and its prequel). Pretty good...a bit weird (and also a bit annoyed) that the commanders keep talking about men and women in the middle of the battle tho XD

Probably for this time I decide to watch the anime without doing any "research" before hand. Hopefully I will understand the story a bit better as the series progresses and I don't need to understand its prequel.
