Ah, finally. Spider-sensei is here. And a glimpse of Hanako's previous life.

So now Hanako's counterpart has revealed himself and he definently shook Hanako up. The two kids he are in league with have also revealed themselves to be the ones spreading rumors. Is the plan really just to mess Hanako or is that part of a long term plan?

It was funny watching Nene try to come up with how she feels about Hanako, only to call him a pain.

Look like they've changed the Opening a little. I don't think Sakura was holding hands before (so is that Dark Hanako?)...

Kou is such a pure and earnest individual. Nene will probably never see him romantically, but she is growing to care about him, and calling him by his first name was nice to hear .

Nene said she likes Hanako! Of course she then had to add on that she doesn't see him "that way," but at this point I think she's just making up excuses. Seems like Hanako was about to come clean about his feelings too .

What is Dark Hanako? He frames himself as someone Hanako killed even though he looks exactly like Hanako, knows Hanako's real name, and Sakura referred to him as our Hanako's "brother." Is he a reflection of Hanako committing suicide, of "killing" himself or a part of him? Is he Hanako's twin brother? Is he Hanako's dark emotions given life ?

So do we now have a kind of dark trinity mirroring our main characters? Sakura is their Nene, Natsuhiko is their Kou, and they even have their own Hanako .

I wonder what their endgame is by stirring up all these rumors...making them flare up so Hanako has to expend himself resolving them ?

I don't think anyone expected that apparition to start worrying about Kou forcing him to shoot a porn video .

Poor Kou-kun he's going to be friend zoned so badly by Nene, he has no chance between Hanako and his brother.

Oh man I can't believe I haven't noticed that, it's so obvious too hell Natsuhiko looks so much like Kou I honestly thought it was his brother until like two episodes ago.

That hardly is a concern anymore now that Mitsuba arrives.

Is this the first episode where Nene hasn't had any lines? I would've said it's the first one she wasn't in, but we saw a brief glimpse of her when Hanako realized what was going on .

I think this might be the most tragic episode yet. All that buildup to Kou and Mitsuba's budding friendship, only for it all to get turned into something horrible by Dark Hanako .

At least Kou can take down an apparition of it's not a Wonder or a Hanako .

So Dark Hanako's name is Tsukasa...and Hanako killed him. And I guess committed suicide afterwards, which is why he is where he is? I really have to wonder what led to all this happening, but if Tsukasa is as messed up now as he was back then, maybe Amane didn't feel like he had a choice .

Tsukasa's groups aim is to fulfill the wishes of ghosts, just as Hanako does for the living, but instead of just so simply granting their wish they seem set to distort the ghost into something more monstrous to break the boundary between the living and spiritual world. They're our antagonists all right .

I guess it's hard to forget because the Wonders and Apparitions seem so lively, but there really isn't much else left for them after death other then maintaining some form of existence. At least Kou was able to give Mitsuba some happy memories .

Damn, what an episode... Even though the animation quality in recent episodes seems to have taken a dip, I still enjoy the content and this was no exception. It takes a lot of mastery to be able to see-saw between comedy and melancholy so well and actually have it connect.

I feel really bad for both Kou and Hanako. I'm sure that Hanako has a pretty great internal conflict where he despises what his brother does, but he also doesn't see himself as being too terribly different due to killing him (which may or may not have been justified, depending on what the circumstances were).

Watched episode 5:

when the character I'm looking forward to seeing are only the Mokke, and the episode feels like a chore to watch. It's time to drop. Tried my best to like this show, manage to last for 5 episodes of this. It's a good show for the right audience though, I'm keeping some episodes around to show female friends who are interested in reverse harem anime.

giving it a parting score 7/10 on MAL.

Raising an idol on a mobile game is probably the most "game" Nene gets with boys at this point. Poor girl .

I love how Nene immediately forgets to ask how she got into that outfit after noticing how cute it is (which I won't deny). Of course, if Hanako is indicative of anything, he and Tsukasa can just wave outfits on people .

I'm not quite sure about Sakura. She seems like a pleasant, nice enough, girl who genuinely sympathizes with what Nene is going through and wanted to get along with her...but it seems like she has to obey Tsukasa's whims even if it means someone getting hurt. Tsukasa definitely seems to intimidate her when he's got his "game face" on. And what was her wish that brought her to being involved with him ?

I will say Sakura looked absolutely gorgeous in that dress! No wonder Nene commented on her beauty .

It's hard to get a read on Natsuhiko. I thought he was this sinister, duplicitous, servant-type dude but here he just seems to be a dumb hot guy who's a slave to love. He makes Kou look extremely competent by comparison .

Not to mention his "team" treats him even worse then Hanako and Nene treat Kou, leaving him to die or get trapped with Nene. Sakura really doesn't seem to care about him, but if Natsuhiko is accurate that this is how she expresses her love, she's got a real sadistic side to her .

I wonder if that key Nene grabbed from the past will prove important to unraveling the mystery of the twins ?

Poor Nene. Even past!Hanako noticed her fat ankles. Although he was also blushing, so maybe that's his secret fetish ?

i'm starting to feeling which that "twinst" thins is a big lie and they are like a single "person", when hanako died he ended spliting in 2 ghosts the "good one being hanako and the "bad one" being his "brother", it's happens due to his regrets, anger and fears.

This will be ending like "tasogara otome amnesia:
Spoiler for main girl ghost:

Looks like Nene is in a causal loop. Which is great as I love time travel in my stories.

I love how Kou's first method of "exorcising" the arms is to arm-wrestle it. He's such an adorably gutsy guy .

I just realized that Sakura isn't holding a mike in her hands in the Opening anymore, but arms. Are they supposed to be Nene's ?

Nene getting kidnapped? Must be Thursday .

Nene keeps falling for all the wrong guys. It's kind of sad that the two boys who treat her the best and are pretty much completely upfront with her are in the "not my type category .

I was not expecting Mitsuba to come back in some form. I'm not sure if this arc is going to "save" him, especially after Tsukasa showed up, but it's nice to see him again. I hope he and Kou get to reunite, even if Mitsuba doesn't remember him at the moment .

I'll be honest, I was half-expecting them to reveal Aoi was really one of the Seven Wonders this whole time before we saw it's true form .

Ah, it always comes back to poor Nene's daikon legs...although her first thought was that the arms were after her legs, so she must take some pride in them .

Y'know, The Hell of Mirrors was a pretty cruel and standoffish Wonder, but even I have to admit it was tough watching Tsukasa bash his head in so thoroughly .

Tsukasa with Nene and Mitsuba? Yeah, this isn't going to end well .

Hanako is a teenage girl so I can't say her tendency to fall for handsome guys is unrealistic, though you'd think she learned to be a bit more skeptical considering how most of the ones she met have been either real oddballs or been hiding a secret.

What exactly is Tsukasa? He doesn't seem to be one of the Wonders but he's powerful enough to kill them. Does he get some kind of boost from sharing Hanako's form ?

Yeah, Kou's reunion with Mitsuba was as tragic as I expected .

I wasn't expecting Mitsuba to take over as Wonder, but I guess it's better then what Tsukasa did to him before. I guess there isn't really any problem with it if he doesn't attack people or make trouble, and he wouldn't be the traitor Hanako was looking for to begin with

Mitsuba may not be a proper existence, and not even a proper apparition as it is, but I kind of can't blame him for wanting to live as he is no matter what .

Nene still can't stop talking about her legs .

Mitsubas has joined Tsukasa's team now, I guess? And nobody cares about Natsuhiko, especially Sakura .

So our heroes didn't really win...but I guess they didn't really lose either. Things are just left as is. Kind of curious how the show will finish things from here .

Looks like Team Sakura has gained a new member. That's bad news for our main trio(and Natsuhiko).

I guess what better way to close off a series based on a currently running manga then with a story that tries to bring things full-circle while also emphasizing some hope for the future ?

I have to wonder from the outside how insane Nene must look to other people not in the know. Aoi seemed genuinely worried her best friend had completely lost her marbles. Although how would the formation of that new hairdo look to someone who couldn't see what going on ?

The series started with Nene having to deal with a mermaid through her own hubris,, and how that landed her the job of being Hanako's assistant, and now she has to deal with the fallout of that once again. Although it should've been pretty clear those fish didn't want her for her human form .

I love how the most tempting thing about the "princess" job for Nene is the idea of a Harem. Girls can fantasize about having Harem's too .

It was nice to see some of the old cast and apparitions come back to give Nene advice or just pop up. Yako is a total hypocrite when it comes to apparitions and humans though .

Nene seemed so committed to not doing it before the fish started hitting her where it hurts about her human life. Although it seems like it wasn't just the prospect of finally being popular that got her to change but that she might better understand Hanako...or at least that's what she's telling herself .

Nene can say she didn't mean she liked Hanako in that way, but just saying that to someone who's never heard it before in their entire life can still mean a lot. And that Amane was finally willing to openly talk about his brother and how he killed Tsukasa shows that he's becoming more willing to open up to and get closer to Nene .

Is breaking this seal and releasing a bunch of monsters what Tsukasa is really after? That's a pretty graphic illustration he's got there. Mitsuba get out of there !

Look at Kou, all fired up! Even his brother seems in-support, although I doubt he knows about it being over an apparition .

"Caught you!" You caught Hanako in more ways then one Nene, in more ways then one .

One last episode focusing on the relationship between Hanako and Nene is an apt way to end this season. I doubt it'll get a season 2, so I'll put the manga on my backlog.

Was an enjoyable show with a great color scheme and unique art style. The stories were rather silly with some sort of serious undertone.

7/10
