Epic ending! Only complaint: I wish they'd been a tad bit braver in the who dies/who lives choices. Having Senketsu sacrifice himself was a convenient way to get rid of the last piece of clothing and therefore basically leave only humans on the planet. An example of coexistence between the two races would have been more interesting - but I also see how "a girl grows out of her sailor uniform" makes sense with the overall theme of the show (clothing as something that "enslaves" humanity being a symbol of hierarchies - like the military-ish school uniforms).
By the way: Ryuuko goes Super Saiyan, has Zenkai power, and fights Ragyou like in Battle of Gods. Yep, we've got it guys, you like Dragonball Z . And I'm sad that no one has yet pointed out something else. I mean, they have this huge tower that has to be stuck inside the original Life Fiber to fertilize it and produce an egg. So they have to blow it before it manages to do that. But the tower is covered by a rubber barrier. Yet they manage to break it, and then they go at it long enough that the tower just releases its load of... energy in the sky from its tip and then crumbles, exhausted. ...yeah .

A satisfying finale. Not great, but it had everything I needed to see, more or less. More battle scenes, a TTGL-style space battle, Ragyo and Nui's defeat (though I'd preferred to see Nui get finished off by someone else instead of sacrificing herself) and the world returning to normal. Wished the epilogue would've been more than just the ED stills, but there's still that OVA anyway. And yeah, Senketsu will be missed, but his death made the ending more conclusive, i.e. freeing Ryuuko from her sailor uniform.
Overall KLK was enjoyable, most especially during the couple of episodes leading up to the finale. |

Thanks Trigger KLK was an awesome journey nowadays very few series acompish such feat. No product is without a flaw, KLK build on wonderful legacy and I rarely had such grin watching any other action series. High octane indeed.
As for sales doubtful it will reach really good numbers it is not Infinite Fetish. |

^ It is averaging 10k copies per volume.....It is doing mighty well.
End credits scene was very well done. They're finally wearing clothes that they like to wear now. It is very refreshing to the eyes after seeing so much epic action scenes. Senketsu RIP. |

The plot of the show isn't exactly deep, but to say the show isn't full of metaphors isn't fair. The writing can be pretty clever at times. Anyway, I really enjoyed the ending, but it felt a bit rushed mainly due to the epilogue being so simple. In a way it's probably because the "ending" was actually several episodes long, which made the final episode feel a little underwhelming in comparison. Still, the show accomplished what it set out to do and it did it proudly. That's pretty rare in anime, and it's one of the best shows I've seen in a while, personally.

Fantastic ending to a fantastic series. I haven't been this thrilled by a anime's final episode in a very long time. This last episode had everything I wanted to see and more - well, except Senketsu's death. I never asked for this ;_;
This was over the top as it could be. Gamagoori turning into a ganmen, scissors sisters using the scissors together, and Ryuuko going Super Saiyan were particularly awesome. Speaking of Gamagoori, it looks like his love may never be requited since Mako seems to only have eyes for Ryuuko (though she did literally cry rivers when she thought he died, so there may still be hope). The ending was very satisfactory. I loved the epilogue and wish it had been longer (really hoping episode 25 takes place after it). Satsuki looked super gorgeous in it. I'm really happy Ryuuko is able to live happily ever after with her friend Mako and her nee-san. My only complaint is that the clothes she was wearing weren't very cute, Satsuki's were a lot cuter. Dammit Ryuuko, you promised Senketsu! I would loved to see her in a dress/skirt too...

A very solid ending. A nice amount of escalation during the final fight, keeping things very exciting.
My only major criticism is that it's a shame we didn't get more of an aftermath following the climatic battle. But those ED shots were nice. Satsuki with short hair and in a long dress was an inspired visual choice for those ED shots.

Satsuki looks good with short hair and a dress. Heck, everyone looks good in the clothes they wore in the end.
Gamagoori sacrificing himself for Mako, and her crying her eyes out over his 'death', that was both awesome and heartwarming. This proved to be one epic show. Lots of plot twists (some predictable, others less so), overacting and whatever, but definitely awesome.

Guess we'll never find out why Hooumaru was so special towards finishing Shinra Koketsu. Oh and the screw for the scissor blade was stored with Senketsu all along lol.
Episode went by pretty fast but it's a completely satisfying ending.

Thus in the end everyone and their dog performed inevitable solution: getting naked, How fitting.
Final battle was pretty much done by the numbers include a gattai and final fight in SPAAAAACE. Still highly enjoyable, though anyone reminded Eva when the Life Fibers went all "tang" at tower there? Anyhow, I still feel this show was rather overhyped and made out to be this industry wide changing phenomenon that would men grow instant breads and chest hairs just by watching it. Where in reality it's just well done show that stuimbled here and there particularity during ep 5-13 intervals. It was nothing ground-breaking and very typical Imiashi fair with few in the way of surprises. Nevertheless I feel that was certainly one of top series of last two season thanks to a lot it's unabashed high energy despite the writing faulting some places. So yeah, it's something I'd recommend to anyone with tempered expectations of it's greatness. Episode Score: 9/10 Series Score: 8/10 You done good Trigger. |
