Hehe, trust me, you don't.
It's nerve wracking and annoying when your working on an original arc. for a story like this. It's harder when your stuck, which was what made me miss it in the first place.
It's nerve wracking and annoying when your working on an original arc. for a story like this. It's harder when your stuck, which was what made me miss it in the first place.
The base idea is good. However, putting the queen-wannabe, the tomboy and the yandere together is already a dangerous combination as it is, so I can't help but shudder when thinking of the mess it will be if you add those genderbender versions into the mix. Please, handle with care.
Yes yes... agnese stroking the shaft of her staff while she's digging her heel into Touma's face. Yes... this is very disturbing as the stroking is affecting a certain anatomy of Touma.
Man is a greedy being. She herself admits that she is greedy, selfish and in some cases, maybe even gluttonous. But most of all, she is confused. Because of how she wants so much but can only choose so little. What should she do? What was right? What was it she was looking for?
In the end, you just didn't want to lose your friend. Right?
Yes, that's right. Had circumstances been different, perhaps she would have found the proper path that bound all her wishes into one. Wishes so numerous she could pray each one to the stars in the sky. And it seemed one star heard her call. If not, she wouldn't have been faced with this boy before any other in her aimless mission.
He was young, far too young. But he would open the path to her desired end. In the end, how did he lead her elsewhere?
When Ellis fell and she lay helpless in that place. When he had no reason to pick her up after beating her down. He dragged her into the shadows. She had assumed she would be, beaten, killed, maybe even raped, or worse; handed over to the authorities of this city of machines. But he did none of those. He stayed with her, protected her, nursed her and made sure no one found her. When she was well enough to walk, he merely told her to go.
She was a sinner, he was not a saint. There was absolutely no reason to let her go but he did. He said she should escape. Perhaps he was smart, perhaps it was just kindness but he had saved her. Maybe he knew that she wanted to start a war? Maybe he understood that if she were caught then maybe a conflict between magic and science would occur. But when she'd asked why, he only answered:
"It wasn't that big a deal."
She'd tried to kill him. She had tried to crush him, but to no avail with that accursed right hand of his breaking through her every defense and Ellis' attacks. It all ended in failure but it did not change that she had wanted to end his life.
"What person would value their life so little?", she had unknowingly said. She remembered watching Ellis die. She remembered begging the others to save him. She cried, she screamed and she even clawed at them to save him. But nothing, the value of the life before them was less than nothing. It was as if that life should have just disappeared, if not never been born.
"No one thinks lowly of their life.", he told her. "No life is meaningless and no life is useless. We aren't people who should judge its worth. But I don't believe any life can be tossed aside so easily."
"Then why do you forgive me so easily? I just tried to kill you.", she came close to breaking down.
"Nah.", he brushed off the notion. "You weren't trying to kill me. We just got into a fight. It's not much different from my everyday life. People with special powers that can kill me attack me all the time. This was just one of those times alright?".
Was he being kind? Was he being clever? The smile he had when he spoke those words reflected both. A slyness that lay beneath innocence. A rare subject she could not decipher when she had previously decoded spells of the highest complexity from little more than fragments of a pottery. She could not read him, nor could she see through his intentions.
"What? Is there something on my face?"
Idiot
Ah, maybe that was why. She couldn't read him, he had spoken the words of salvation she had locked in her heart. He had seen the many wishes and found their root. All of these he could do because he was honest. He didn't hide anything. He could not be deciphered because there was nothing to read through. He could see to the root because he did not believe in the complications that anchored a basic thought to bring an immaterial idea. He believed, he had faith. His words always rang out with one voice and his hands worked for the sake of one goal. From the very beginning his right hand had been grasping at only one justice while she was chasing the lights of distant stars.
She had said he was a fool but perhaps she was the fool? She had told him that there were things in this world that shouldn't exist. Aberrations that should never be, but hadn't that been what they had said about her friend on that day? Wasn't it those words that echoed from then to now in her heart in response to her cries for aid in his name?
"Ellis... I've been such a fool.".
A hand reached out to her. She looked up to the owner of that familiar right hand.
"Everyone's been an idiot once or twice in their life. Wether you grow smarter from it though, that's a whole different story.", on his face was that smile. That care free smile that held no trace of steely conviction from the battle to the death before. But there was an edge, a sense of unease that crept to his hand in a shake that could not be removed.
He was cautious, of her. She smiled wryly, perhaps he wasn't as simple an idiot as she thought. He didn't completely trust her and honestly she didn't put all her faith in him as well. In the world of magicians it was a sure way of getting yourself killed. In the world of magicians nobody reached out to others willingly. It was and will always be a world for the one, the individual. Any bond is little more than a means to a goal.
In the end, you just didn't want to lose your friend. Right?
That's right, she just didn't want to lose her friend. In this world of lies and conspiracies where everyone was just a tool to each other, she wanted that bond. She wanted a trust that would not betray her. She wanted a friend. She looked down on her hand. It was so much bigger now than when she last truly laid eyes on it. She remembered a much smaller hand, a much daintier hand. A tanned hand that reached out and grasped pale shaky palms. It was a wary hold, a dubious lifeline, but at that time hadn't she grasped it as well? Her one justice, her one truth. Didn't she believe in a simple thought that let her reach out to hands just as unsure as the one before her? Yes, she reached out and she would reach out again. Taking this right hand before her in her grasp. The one thought from the beginning echoing in her heart
I want to be your friend.
Had circumstances been different, Sherry Cromwell would not form this pact. Had circumstances been different, perhaps she would have killed many people and lead herself to a path beyond salvation. But with these circumstances, she held in her hands that one justice and that bond. Her starry sky had now been cleared by that shining light. And she would bask in its glow 'til 'ever's end.
Driver:
- a medal based driver that also makes use of 3 medals. These medals can be ideal medals or noise medals. When 3 medals resonate, they become a realization or the equivalent of a combo. These realizations achieve the perfected ideal and show explosive power of 100% of all medals' powers.
Scan Gauntlet:
- a gauntlet that covers only the right arm. This gauntlet is used to authenticate activation of the driver, acting as the key to unlocking the system and over clocking it. This property is most evident in "scanning charge"s which are regarded as finishing attacks. This gauntlet can also be used to collect medals from FAKE ANGELS, as well as their NEPHILIM. By inserting IDEAL medals into the drive slot of the gauntlet, it can gain various abilities. Commonly used is the RAILGUN medal which grants the scan gauntlet the ability to attract medals to it to make medal collection easier. It can also fire out collected noise medals as a blast of energy, these blasts' properties can be influenced by the
Material Beacon:
- a small machine similar to an old tape recorder. It is driven by the DARK MATTER medal. The purpose of this machine is to stimulate the materialization of medals and draw in NEPHILIM and FALLEN ANGELS from the imaginary district into the real world. It also serves the purpose of generating the weapons and equipment that are used by the rider.
Grab Greave:
- an armored boot that covers the left leg from sole to knee. Much like the scan gauntlet, the grab greave functions as a means to collect medals which scatter during combat with FA's and NEPHILIM when driven by the RAILGUN medal. Various medals generate varying effects with this leg armor.
Noise medals:
- medals made of crystallized AIM energy with no set pattern. They are useless outside of being an energy source. Normally noise medals are consumed after one use.
IDEAL medals:
- medals made with discernible AIM patterns. They have specific abilities and are a much higher grade as energy sources than noise medals. Unlike noise medals, IDEAL medals are not consumed with each use. They also contain mental residue of the espers they were collected from.
Examples of IDEAL medals: arranged as (super ego, ego, id)
OFFENSE ARMOR, ACCELERATOR, BOMBER LANCE
RADIO NOISE, RAILGUN, LAST ORDER
DARK MATTER(ego)
KILL POINT, TELEPORT, MOVE POINT
MELTDOWNER(id)
AIM STALKER(super ego)
ATTACK CRASH(id)
MENTAL OUT(super ego)
FAKE ANGELS:
- beings born of AIM that have grown independent of the system of the five elements institution of the imaginary district. scientific angels which are self sustaining without reliance on continuous AIM fields as they exist powered by AIM medals.
NEPHILIM:
- programs created by FA's in order to create more medals to allow FA's to continue existing. Usually born from the tampering of an esper's personal reality causing a distorted creature based on their ambition to appear.
Spoiler for Wizard based rider:
kamen rider sorcerer
Sorcedriver:
- a driver which makes use of the four element system with engraved 4 direction guardians. This acts as an effective mobile temple for casting and amplifying various spells of any size or complication. Can instantly cast engraved spells which are placed over it.
Sorcerings:
- made with gemstones imbued with telesma. They channel specific elements granting the user mastery over each with use(style rings). They can also be used to store spells via engravement of the specific magic circle and the required incantations.
RiteTimer:
- a wrist timer with a slot in the middle where Sorcerings are inserted. The RiteTimer is an artifact that continuously stores telesma on activation. Each time the RiteTimer does a full revolution, the spell within the Sorcering to be cast will evolve.
the census
- a grimoire which contains the extracted magic names of mages. Listed under each mage are the spells they have used under their magic name in their lifetime of using this name. Pages from this tome can be torn and read by the SorceDriver. A compendium of books that rivals Index in quantity. The book is used to extract the magic names of NEPHILIM made by FALLEN ANGELS.
FALLEN ANGELS:
- angels born from telesma, they do not possess the same powers as archangels which can destroy the world with a single spell or realign celestial bodies. However they are of avery powerful ilk as being made of pure energy. They exist outside of god's system, angels born for no reason and without meaning. They only know to preserve themselves by engorging on crystallized telesma and mana(magic stones). These crystals are formed from concentrated mana, leylines or active magicks. These angels create their own NEPHILIM which are born from the magic names of mages and their deep-seated hopes.

Spoiler for musings of Mugino towards A Certain Ordinary Student...:
I despise you.
I won’t make excuses.
I hate you because I can.
I loathe you because I should.
I detest you because I don’t need a reason to.
For you, and only you, are capable of receiving the full extent of my ire.
I despise you.
You are the Light to my Dark.
You are the Heads to my Tails.
You are the Yang of my Ying.
You are the Right of my Wrong.
For everything that you stand for, I will always stand against it.
I despise you.
I am a Monster in the Dark while you are the Champion of the Light.
I strive to end lives while you strive to save them.
I strive to destroy while you strive to protect.
I strive to be the best, while you strive to be ordinary.
For you are the symbol of everything I could never hope to do or be.
I despise you.
You are the person who inspires hope to the hopeless.
You are the person who provides help to the helpless.
You are the person who may stumble but never falls.
You are the person who reveals the good beneath the evil.
For this, I cannot help but loathe everything in which you are.
I despise you.
I have gained an interest in you.
I have gained an attachment to you.
I have gained an admiration towards you.
I have gained an emotional bond crafted by you.
For you are responsible for this sudden and unexplained change in my life.
I despise you...because…I…
Um...I got bored in did this....now I feel the urge to use it at some point. You know, break it up into small segments and put them as like a header or something before the start of each chapter. If I did that, though, it would most likely only show up during the scenes where Touma and Mugino are actually going to interact with each other.
Or maybe not, I don't know; I'm just trying to find new things that may appeal to some folk out there.
Feel free to share your thoughts; the insight would certainly help me out a lot.

Lol, no no, that would be epic but take too damn long.
Here, this is what I mean:
Quote:
I despise you.

I hate you because I can.
I loathe you because I should.
I detest you because I don’t need a reason to.
For you, and only you, are capable of receiving the full extent of my ire.
That would be the heading of a chapter and, to an extent, what is written in that heading is what the chapter is based on.
Think of it like the stages of how their relationship is going. If you read the whole thing, you'll see how it develops more the further down it goes. That sort of thing, you know?
It's nerve wracking and annoying when your working on an original arc. for a story like this. It's harder when your stuck, which was what made me miss it in the first place.
