Radiantbeam 9.1/10: I like everything being monochrome but her eyes and the tattoo. It's very... macabre. The feel of it is what I like most, reminds me of my Arbitroll Termination Protocol... but with magic. =O

That's a bit biased don't you think? It doesn't have to be anime, and even if you don't know who he is, it doesn't mean you have to give him such a low score. I mean, I don't know who'se in your avatar but I'm still giving you a 7/10 because it's a nice idea, but it's a bit blurry and too much of one color as well.

Side note: That's not Kyuubi in the bg it's just a red soft brush set to sreen so that it looks bright and adds a nice little effect on the side The only thing in the bg is a blackcoard

Rate it based on what you see, not on what you know. You're gonna see loads of avatars from different sources that you probably don't know about, and after what you said, I can't imagine that you'd give them all a higher score just because they're anime avatars (if they are such). I'm not much interested in 3d either when it comes to TV shows and such, yet I still gave MC a pretty decent score because it looks good. If it looks good, I find it fair to give it a pretty high score, regardless of interest. It also shows appreciation for other people's work, even if all it involved was finding it randomly on photobucket.

For the blurriness, I didn't even notice.. how sharp can your eyes be o.O. For the colors.. well.. she IS '' Yuki Onna = Snow Woman '' so I dunno how the colors could be anything else.

Hey now, I know it's your score, but I'm not too sure if you should be rating it so low if you don't think it belongs. Just block the image and skip rating him.

@Dist You may want to play with the levels on that pic, or color curves. I think it's just too much white, not really blurry 8.5/10

First off

Komari 8/10 - bit too sharp for my tastes but the guy looks pretty handsome imho, so credits to you for that

As for my avy, as I said it's just a soft round 65 pixels brush set to screen so that it gives off a bright red aura effect around him, reminiscent of when he turns into the Kyuubi. Too add to that, I also used a black and red gradient to put some lighting effect on the corner and set that to screen as well but with a lower opacity. Apart from a b&w gradient map and the border, that's all there is to it. Thanks for the compliment
