People are getting upset over the littlest things. Showing Rin actually saving Shirou is something I'd expect to see in a flashback later on, and even if we don't ever actually see it, nothing is lost from not seeing it. We know what happens, both from dialogue and from logical inference.

After all the hype, anything short of perfection will cause complaints. I still thought it was great, though.

Seems that some Nasu original scenes were confirmed to be in episodes 2 and 3. I think that means the actual #2 and #3, so not next week (as far as this confirmation is concerned).

I expect it to be shown in the next episode, although it is possible it won't be. Still, yeah, we do know that it happens, and actually showing what exactly Rin does to save him might have been a pain for Ufotable.

Another option is that it is the missing content referred to by this poster:

The missing content that I'm referring to here is the Rin/Archer's somewhat lengthy dialogue about Reality Marbles at the park. That's really the only significant portion that was missing from the broadcast. There wasn't anything else from the Rin healing Shirou scene.

Considering episode 2 will probably consist of the Kotomine infodump, I think there's a decent chance the original scene will be the bit with Gilgamesh in the church that we saw in Kirei's PV.

Well, they'll sell no matter what, yeah, but it probably doesn't hurt to make it clear from the get-go that they're saving some scenes for them.

I would expect it is because it seems the episode screening was longer than the TV broadcast time they got reserved for the episode. Something had to be cut to make it all fit.

That would be fucking awesome. Just give us a bit of dialogue between the random blonde guy and Kirei before revealing Gil as the final boss.

Episode 2 will probably end with the start of the Berserker fight, or maybe even when it ends. In any case it'll be a bit of a rude shocker for people who are only used to Ilya from her spinoff series.

It'll be even more of a rude awakening for people coming into this thinking of it as a "sequel" of sorts for Fate/Zero. Even though I know what happens to Illya in UBW thanks to the movie I'm still not really used to her.....
