Just what does it say?
Also, from what I've read, I believe she probably isn't Nobunaga's ancestor. From what little I've seen about the subject, Kicho (also known as Nohime) was possibly barren and Nobunaga's children were all born from his concubine, though it sounds like at least one was "given" to her to become a proper and official heir. |

I honestly don't get that. How does the fact that a man makes a moral choice to not have sex with a girl just because she offers it mean it'll be a bad or mediocre story? I'm sorry but choosing either side does not say ANYTHING about the story. Only thing that can be said is that if the guy had tried to have sex with a fourteen-year-old girl who thought he was someone else and was only doing it out of a sense of obligation to this other person, it would be absolute trash and the main character would be one of the most despicable characters I've seen. It's hardly unrealistic, no matter what some people claim, to say that men can't or won't refuse sex. Even virgins who long to find a girlfriend. Men are strong enough to withstand those urges if they don't think it's right, all the more so if it's an underage girl whose consent (or insistence) is based on false information and who he thinks might be his ancestor (it's thought Nohime was barren but records aren't thorough enough to confirm).

If for some reason this turns out to be better than average, it's not like I'm at a loss anyways, as it would be a pleasant surprise.

Yeah I don't know if I expect anything great from this myself. I just don't like the suggestion that a man turning down sex is an indicator of a bad show or that it's not believable or any of the nonsense I hear floating around anytime it happens. All the more so when the hero has literally every reason to refuse (aside from looks of course).

Might be interesting if they further explore various theories about her. For instance, seems it's been speculated that she was sent as a spy or even an assassin in case her family decided that the "fool of Owari" had become a threat. Or at least address the fact that she was highly skilled with a sword. I doubt they'll dig that deep but if they did it might at least give some humor. Could be interesting to see her switching back and forth between trying to get him to impregnate her and trying to kill him.
EDIT: OK with the second episode I definitely don't have any real hopes for this series. I may still watch it but it looks like it'll just be the most basic cheesecake. Disappointing really, as Kicho was supposed to be remarkably clever and capable in a range of areas, and had earned Nobunaga's admiration in this regard even if she may not have earned his love. The idea of a grown man living with a junior high girl in itself could be plenty entertaining, with a bit of clever mischief and some innocent curiosity on her part that goes nowhere (see this plenty when there are junior high characters anyway), but this is so far literally nothing but "how can I get this man to impregnate me?"... Just commenting to point out that the girl doesn't seem to be an actual girl but a tsukumogami, an ancient object (some kind of pottery it seemed?) that had gained sentience and could deceive people in various ways. In this case evidently by pretending (and maybe believing) to be some famous person from the past. It may have been prepped by being handed down in the Oda family, and triggered by Nobunaga's name.
A clever concept, shame the story turned into a slitstorm almost immediately. I have a particular fondness for folklore-inspired stories, so when I saw the pottery morph into a girl, I was pretty optimistic. |

Having dug around and found the manga, I'm disappointed they cut out points where she tries to kill the guy. There's few of them, but at least this gives a bit more variety to her actions and certainly fits with her historic character (as I said earlier she was known for exceptional wit, intelligence, and skill with a sword). |

Yeah, it is kind of strange that the teacher was so quick to give him a chance. But then she had three students who, while cynical about the time slip stuff, did support that the events in question were of their doing rather than his. If all witnesses as well as "victims" insisting that the guy hadn't personally done it, I suppose it makes sense she'd at least give him the benefit of the doubt on that matter.

(Watches episode 10)
..... Well, time to bleach my eyes and then set them on fire. But first let me go back and watch the episodes with the big breasted teacher. The second they showed him I just knew, I fucking knew what was about to happen... I feel violated.
