This will either be really fucked up or really awesome but... I'm leaning more towards the former. An idea for an M rated story.

Orimura Ichika died during the Gospel Incident. He died and there was nothing even the miraculous IS could do. However when Ichika's dead soul was to be judged and placed in its final resting place, it was found out that Ichika had died years far earlier than expected for his reservation into heaven. This had the death god grumbling about how overcrowded the afterlives were. Ichika then asked if he could go back to life then since he wasn't supposed to be dead anyway. The death god said that things didn't work that way because resurrections and the like required some pretty serious clearance from beings ruling above even them because this was universal law and such while death gods only ruled life and death. Placement and such was Fate and Destiny's department which Death had 0 jurisdiction in.

Ichika then asked what he would do since he was a soul stuck in limbo. The death god explained that since Ichika was before his time and was therefore with no place to go. Ichika would be forced to wander the earth as a ghost for roughly another 60 or so years before his time to be reaped would come and the boy would be hunted down to be sent to heaven or hell. Ichika had no problems with that until another deathgod passed by with a thrashing soul that seemed to be decaying and blackened and angry at pretty much everything. Ichika inquired about it and was told that what he saw was a wandering ghost being reaped. Wandering souls were usually affected heavily by the atmosphere of the world around them. Since they cannot interact with the world but are still subject to its stimuli, they usually go mad and gain power to affect the physical plain. That's why there are so many paranormal activities happening on Earth recently.

Ichika was struck with the idea from manga to offer that maybe he could work as a reaper instead and help them catch these ghosts in exchange for letting him get a second shot at life. The Death God scoffed saying that there wouldn't be any point as prematurely catching ghosts would yield no results because the space in the afterlives remained limited. This is when the Death God obtained a horrible idea and became Ichika's undoing. Ichika was duped into accepting a proposition that would allow him to live and that was Ichika was required to get 444 souls reincarnated by his 18th birthday. That would put a dent in the overpopulated numbers of the afterlives.

Ofcourse Ichika had accepted this job not knowing what it meant to help souls reincarnate. It was after he sealed the deal he was told that he had to get 444 babies conceived and marked for reincarnation. Either by hooking women up, hooking up with women himself.

So comes the story of the first ever Umaregami.

Anyway, 444 women he has to tap...Or get them through other methods. Sperm Donation might be one of the easier ways. Or if he can meet 444 guys and get them to get a girl pregnant. not that hard when you think about the amount of people on Earth.

On second thought it becomes too complicated when I add the ability to facilitate reincarnation even when the kid is conceived with another guy. Because the child would gain a soul not long after and Ichika would have to either be there when the child is conceived or know and mark them within a week after conception or something.

So it has to be his kid.

I did say that I thought this idea was pretty fucked up.

But I never said he had to have kids with women who are already in a relationship. NTR is a possibility but not a necessity. Getting an inordinate number of girls preggers though... definitely messed up.
