Now that I've had time to recover...

• I still think the Witch's Cult is operating at cross purposes to the witch's intent. Now I think the goal of this arc is to eradicate this cult before they can execute their plan.
• Whoever did the key visuals for Betelgeuse's rant was certainly both a fan of Studio Shaft and The Joker.
• Emilia being the final boss is now so plain that I am beginning to suspect a plot twist later on. I like Subaru being the final boss because that would be awesome.
• If that is Puck on the roof then who is his daughter? Emilia?
• Subaru certainly has access to some pretty serious fighters if he actually thinks of them.

I'm really surprised I'm apparently among the few who saw Puck as some sort of powerful monster from the start.

Even in the mansion arc he was pampered as "super special niisan" over and over, there's no way he would be average.

That's the thing about spirits. They may assume one form, but it may not be their true/full power form

So...this time, Subaru has to basically put an end to that bishop's plot...he'll need to rally some powerful allies in order to do that.
And even if he does, how the hell do you fight againt a guy that can produce invisible hands?


Not to mention the mist and whale blocking the shortest route to the mansion...is it coincidence, or caused by someone?

Well that was a good episode!

In all honesty, I'm really surprised Subaru not been seduced by Rem yet. She supports and looks after him, and goes to extreme lengths to fight for him, and even does a deathbed confession!

I'm sure Emilia going to make up in the long run, but Rem pushed so hard in these last few episodes.

Either way there is no chance they can do anything about this mess without going straight through that short route.

Subaru is most definitely pissed, but I hope he can cool down enough to realize they need serious help here. They can't deal with this even if they get there with just Rem and himself. They need firepower. Reinhard would be nice, but getting him to leave the capital right now would be tough. Maybe the best choice is trying to cut a deal with Crusch. If you could get her along with a knight like Felis and maybe Wilhelm....maybe you have enough firepower to pull this off.

But they clearly don't have enough at the mansion. Everyone dead and Emilia presumably using her trump card that froze everything in that basement area.

What a terrible situation.

Plotgasm, the bane of all anime heroines.

Technically Subaru was pretty heroic and fixed a lot of stuff in the last loop of the mansion, so it's not surprising she's sticking to him considering everything else in her life other then ram is nonexistent. He's also the only one who recognizes her as herself; at least from her perspective.

It seems weird to me that the giant monster would be Puck, since it kinda resembles a giant rat if than anything. Also why would he kill Subaru when he knows hes not the bad guy ? I think Puck can be heard when Subaru gets frozen near the beginning of the ep, which would explain why hes in the credits. To me the giant monster kinda sounds different and it doesn't seem to kill Subaru with ice magic either.

Either way it was super intense O.o

Literally, everything was on point here. It was gripping from start to finish.

I don't think I've been as freaked out by an anime character as I was by Betelgeuse, and Rem's heroics and Subaru's brokenness just about tore my heartstrings out.

Simply amazing.

Hmm, I did some info into Puck and apparently he's actually an ancient spirit that has lived for thousands of years and actually has the power to totally devastate lands on a big magnitude. Dang he almost sounds on par with the Dragon and this does make you wonder why he is in a contract with Emilia. It still bothers me also why such a all powerful being has to be in bed before nine'0 clock.
