Well, Ken was love strucked on first sight of Rance, so tagging along probably would make sense.

in the Kenshin ending she did let Rance ran away without trying to stop him. Since she understands that someone like Rance can't be tied down and still be Rance.

Sen is the one who likes to wandering around picking fights with strong people. I thought she a made perfect choice along with Suzume to be wandering around with Rance.

it just occur since Kenshin is following Rancer around, Ai should be lurking somewhere in the background. She isn't going to let Kenshin run around without someone taking care of her.

I saw a translation saying that Kou has Ai and Sanada tutoring her in tactics. It was from one of the new posts. Sadly Katsuie teaching her and not Senhime
