Over a stupid T-Shirt?
" Many people called and complained about your t-shirt. Jetblue customers were calling before you reached the checkpoint, and costumers called when you were waiting here in the boarding area"

Please...no one knows where to call off hand anyway, and really, who the hell is pro-active enough to complain? And who the hell takes these calls all day?

But then again, as much as I can believe this story, I'm also keeping a healthy bit of skepticism simply because this reactions/story seem to be promoting the "We will not be silent" campaign. And what better way? hmm...

Whats wrong with Mexico?

I was browsing CNN and i founf this little story.

http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/09/16/cit....ap/index.html

I don't mean any offense to the people but what the heck is wrong with your country when something like this happens. It sounds like a Austin Power movie without the comendy. Are the people that desperate or the crimmals that poweful?

My friend I'm from México, and I have read the news. The only problem I get with your comment is that you confused the place. Below the heading the place says the extortion took place at the town of Las Cruces, New Mexico.

If you're somewhat acknowledged with American history, New Mexico is admitted as the 47th state of the US Union since 1912. Henceforth, whatever s**t is happening there occurs within the USA territory.

Yeah, seriously, pay attention. In Mexico that wouldn't make the news.

Interesting method. Probably a lot less likely to produce results than actually kidnapping an individual hostage or two, but also a lot less risky.

Greece has found the best way to deal with illegal immigrants: putting a bunch of them in a Greek Coastguard ship at one of the Greek islands just across Turkey's shores, secretly entering the Turkish coasts, leaving the immigrants there, and fleeing from the scene.

In the last three years, Greece used this method to bring (!) around six thousands immigrants to Turkey.

Before Lucy, there was Selam

It seems as if Ethiopia became the cradle of mankind's evolution to its dawn. As of yesterday, paleoanthropologists made an amazing discovery at Dikkika, Ethiopia. They found the remains of an Australopithecus afarensis, a child, whose fossil predates that of "Lucy" for 150,000 years.

The paleoanthropologists dubbed the child Selam and have expressed their amazement that her remains are the most complete hominid skeleton ever found.

Looks like Selam will be taking Lucy's place as the mother of evolutionism.

In Samsun, Turkey, a retired teacher, Hasan Sancak, saw an interesting dream (in short, it is filled with getting hungry late at night, seeing that there is nothing in the fridge, finding places on Internet to buy food, the food selected for order magically appearing within the fridge before even checking out, and finally waking up to see that was all a dream) on the Nov 20th, 2000. When he woke up in the morning, the first thing he did, was to go to the Notary, and record the dream.

Recently, it seems that Coca Cola has started to use(!) that dream in one of their commercials (didn't see it). After seeing the commercial, Hasan Sancak filed a lawsuit against Coca Cola claiming that Coca Cola stole what he saw in his dream. The trial begins today.

Is the Notary a website or online recorder? Cause if he did enter his idea into the WWW I dont see how it can be patented or protected.

(erh the post order switched again. this should have been below)

Ideas can be patented, but I am not sure how the patent system works in Turkey, or whether this recording can be called as a patent or not.

The notary is a state accepted place, where most of the law related/required recordings, filings, etc. can be done. You can think of it as a state agency.

This isn't really odd, but sorta interesting...

Sometimes I really wonder about America as a whole...just nit picking at some things from memory...I think I missed tonights episode of 60 Minutes, though I did catch the preview of it...

At one point we had the whole Columbine School Shooting incident several years back ago. This is something that stood out in my mind when I saw the 60 Minute preview.

Now...I watch and listenin to apparantly some new "trend" that's been going on w/ some teenagers going around beating up and/or killing homeless people. There was some footage of a couple caught by a security camera beating up on a unsuspecting homeless man and one of the kids was hitting him w/ a baseball bat. Afterwards they cut to a interview w/ another kid that I think was convicted of murdering a homeless man in Florida in 2005. When asked why, he said something like "it was fun."

Though this was like only 2 minutes...I couldn't help but pop an eyebrow and wondering what the fuck is wrong w/ this current upcoming generation of kids? It also makes me wonder about the newer generation of parents and what the hell are they doing to let this kind of thing happen?

The old saying "America is the greatest place on Earth" fades farther away it seems...

This sounds just like that episode in Gantz, were two teenagers beat up a homeless person with a bat just for the "Fun" of it.

Wouldn't be surprised if someone were to come and say: Anime made me do it.
