As a reader of the manga, I was worried about how the anime adaptation would be, but now I can honestly say I loved the first episode.
The animation quality was pretty good and the episode itself was pretty funny and gave off Love Hina and Mahoraba-esque vibes. The opening and ending were decent, not horrible, but not great. The ending sequence reminded me of a mix between an opening for an eroge and the ending for Inukami. I'll definitely be checking out the next episode. Ayane was really awesome btw |

Is the tradeoff worth it regarding the Drama CD. They got rid of Souchiro Hoshi which is potentially show saving, but they also got rid of Rie Kumumblia. I guess it is, the show can survive for me without Kumumblia in it although she'll be missed, but I don't think it could work for me with Souchiro Houshi in it (Guy's about as funny and amusing as Sugita Tomakazu and why would you have guy famous for playing emo characters in a comedy anyway). as expected for a harem show, this first episode was too busy with introductions and stage setting for anything to really happen. The pacing was a bit hyper, but that could be the same ep1 effect.
Nothing unexpected happened. The device to keep the protagonist from taking advantage of anything in this "heaven" appears to be nosebleeds, par for the course. I guess harem show with a lead who's not too shy to do anything wouldnt work... The character design on kumakuma is extreme... i wouldnt have guessed it was a bear. I'll reserve judgement until more episodes come out. It might be funny enough to watch. |

Episode one did its job well, I thought. It was actually amusing and introduced all the characters in a way that (somehow) helped us distinguish them. The character design and animation were good, and reminiscent of Otoboku. I liked Hocchan's singing more than I sometimes do. And as eggplant said, the supporting cast was good, especially Chiba Saeko. However, if the show just plays the same scenarios over and over it will be a problem.

Wow--that was much better animated than the character designs on the website led me to think. I was hoping they'd do a good job transferring the insanity and humor from the manga to the anime, and they did. That and the OP and ED are insanely addictive--Horie Yui is just awesome

After watching episode one, you can realize it's a rather original anime. It's a man's paradise/hell. Good animation and the comedy was good. This is going to be a good break from all the serious animes that have been coming out lately. Been in need of some good comedy lately, and this is perfect, plus there's some eechi for all you eye candy seekers as well!
Here are some SS of episode 1 along with a summary so watch you eyes if you don't want to know! http://randomc.animeblogger.net/inde...arete+Airantou Last edited by ThoHell; 2007-04-05 at 12:14. |
