AIM Invader?! @#$^@!!
I have gotten at least 100s of clones of the same name (with a new number on the side) IMing me at the same time... They often times try to send me a file called "AIM Invader."
I did some research on it and found that it's a program to flood and crash AIM. (which I'm forced to do) I can't ban this person either... as it's wayy to fast! So any help? |

Cant you just go into preferences and block all incoming IM's from names that arent on your buddy list? Mine was configured to give me a accept/ decline msg to see who was IMing me. You should be able to go into the preferances and do this unless you're getting spammed as soon as you log in. If that's the case I dont know what to do maybe re-instal or update your version of AIM? There is a new update for AIM. They brought back invisible mode. Very fun to annoy your friends by mass clicking the invisible button ahaha .

well besides what Sil Eighty said...if worse comes to worse you can always create another screen name...it's not too hard to transfer your buddy list cause aim lets you save and open buddy list files...the only annoying thing might be to let everyone on your buddy list know you changed names...
