"Open the Steins Gate"
Is it just me or Suzuha looked hotter in this timeline with those military clothes? Totally wasn't expecting Kurisu to die like that. Her father is the worst. Mayushii bitchslapping Okabe was pretty much needed to snap him out and get back to his mad scientist self. Now that Okabe knows there is a way to save her next week should be one hell of a finale. CANNOT WAIT FOR NEXT WEEK!

Knowing that S;G is a closed cast show, I suspected that the professor might still have a part to play. After all, he's the only one who had any significant screen time who had yet to have another purpose in the story. I had even thought that he might be Christina's killer. But I didn't have an inkling as to the full truth behind who he is. Wow. Just wow.
Some people had speculated that Okarin was Christina's killer. I didn't want that speculation to be right. When it was, I literally gasped with my hands to my mouth. That's how intensely I felt the scene. The end was fantastic. When Okarin returned to his former self, I felt such a burst of optimism. I believe he can save the future and the girl he loves now that the mad scientist is back. I agree with Mayuri. I like Okarin better this way. S;G gets another 10 from me.

Another 10/10
Another excellent episode from steins;gate, this time with another very good performance by Mamoru Miyano, an excellent sense of pacing, and this swing from utter despair to a BIG Fuck Yeah when we got back the Okarin we love. And at last, episode 01 + episode 23 felt like those moments of rejoicing when you get your hands on the last pieces of the puzzle and are about to complete it with a big grin.
To me, it was a very strong episode, for different reasons than episode 22. I also loved the tweaked OP and I absolutely loved how they inserted the original OP of the game. And man, Tutturu Slap, and the last minutes... Those last minutes are my most epic middle finger to Fate for now. |

If Okabe has to fake Kurisu death, I wonder how her dad would react. He probably would run his *ss off forgetting about the time machine paper work because it was never given to him.

Keep in mind that Steins;gate is still a spring season series.
Anyway an excellent exposure of the fatalistic attractor field ridden World, but as well as the solution given after all the crap through the Alpha line. I was quite surprised they even included Skyclad observer, which matched quite well Okabe's resolution. Watching this episode reminds me how the scenarist worked like hell with a huge chunk of time travel issues and so forth.

Holy Shit!!! Good as hell as always Man, wish I could find a good replacement for another series when S;G ends. Ehh.... what is Steins;Gate anyways? I'm guessing it's some kind of another worldline which is not either alpha or beta...
Haha... and I had totally forgot the metal upa mentioned in the very first episode. Jeez, it seems Kurisu's father made a good use of it EDIT: So, Okarin from 15 years in future also experienced the same worldline as Okabe from now? Wow, that's some news to me, I thought his future self wouldn't recognize it

This is the choice of Steins Gate! Mostly everything has been revealed this episode, so now its all up to Okarin to finish up what he started back in episode 1. Nice to see he's back to his Hououin Kyouma self.
And that Sky Clad no Kansokusha at the end, it was inserted flawlessly.

Another fantastic episode like always from Steins;Gate. Mamoru Miyano's voice acting just keeps topping itself every passing episode!
Curse Kurisu's father though, that damn jealous fool. 33 year old Okabe is quite awesome? Though having to fail at least once as part of the plan...ouch. Either way great to see him in with his mad scientist persona again. Can't wait to see the final episode next week! It's not just you. Of course she look hotter! |
