Well, I guess that explains Gamia's Heel-Face-Turn during the first episode. I guess that Tsubasa just can't leave anything mechanical alone eh?

Anyway, how does shin mazinger compare to new robot animes? Your opinion?

Mazinkaizer was pretty cool but that one is a bit slow in pacing. I'm really wondering if 26 episodes are going to be enough for Shin Mazinger. Hope they make a sequel...

That better be a Shin Mazikaiser one since I'd rather have that than a Shin Great Mazinger.

Is it just me or was ep10 a mass of death flags for the Kurogane 5?

Oh yes! Shin Grendicer will be a blast! Finally we'll see all 3 robots together! Though personally I like Kaiser. Which I dunno what the storyline would be. Will it be the prototype of MazingerZ which is more powerful? Or Mazinger Z evolved via getter rays. All from SRW.

One thing I like about this new Mazinger is the darker persona of the robots and characters. Note also it's manga based alright, but they've taken off the "KIDDIE" parts which what we see in the old MazingerZ.

Probably in one episode on the old series, where Mazinger flew using her oppai missiles. But here and the MazinKaiser Ova series...meh.

Ep. 1 had a lot of death flags waving for most of the cast imo.

Lori and Luri, the 2 mazinger machine pilots, one of the scientist, Dr. Hell, Count Brocken, Baron Asura, the have tiger dude forgot the name and the other minions of Dr.Hell.

Yeah, the first episode was crazy. I never watched the original Mazinger anime so when I saw ep1 I was

I never saw a first ep like that before, although ep1 of Ga Rei Zero comes close.

I really wish it was an all out battle already, but seems Kouji still needs to learn the ropes and God Scrander is not yet available for Shin Mazinger Z.

I wonder if Tetsuya's Great Booster will get any upgrades on this one.

Not likely, as he, I mean, 'BLADE' appears in the 'finale' of the series.

Though I was tickled by having the classic Scrander appear first. I'm guessing that the God Scrander will appear as another upgrade later on.
