The best anime series that have an ending!

I'm tired of watching shows that don't have an ending and having to ask if there will be another season. I think you all know what I mean, it's probably the worst thing about being an anime fan.

What are the best shows you know that have an ending or will surely have one in the future?

Two shows that come to mind that have outstanding endings would be Turn A Gundam and Simoun. Won't go into detail because of spoilers, though they certainly do the job you'd want for an ending.

Evangelion very much has an ending.

Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~ had a great ending. The build up to it was great, and the execution of it was damn near perfect in my eyes. A great conclusion to an awesome show.

Spoiler for Phantom ending:

Sadly... Fullmetal Alchemist. ;_;

But there's also classics like: Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Black Cat, Buso Renkin, Dragonball and Samurai X.

Ghost Hound certainly has an ending, and a pretty good one. Gurren-Laggan as well, though it's controversial.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is an epic and outstanding series, and by the time you catch up to it it'll be over (it's ending on June 27th.) Definitely worth a watch - it's 63 episodes long.

Also, Monster is a fantastic mystery/thriller... It's a bit long at 74 epis, though.

Edit: FMA is going to have one more - 64 epis

Manabi Straight has a conclusive and extremely heartwarming ending. In fact, I'd say the last two episodes of the twelve episode series functions as an extended ending since the series conflict is resolved in episode 10.

I'll 2nd Full Metal Alchemist:Brotherhood

while most of the stuff mentioned already is all very good, for me one of more underrated shounen series that ends very well is Busou Renkin, it's 26 episodes of awesome shouen entertainment.

also I guess Needless and Soul Eater animes would fit even tho the mangas are still on going, animes had AO endings which for the most part weren't that bad.

Okay so what I'm getting at is your looking for the best anime with conclusive endings?

Code Geass
Cross Game - Its a sports anime, but its heavily tilted towards slice of life too
Fate/Stay Night
Welcome to the NHK
School Rumble - It has an ending, but its rushed...
DeathNote
Kanon 06

Seconding Monster, Ghost Hound and Evangelion

I'll second Cross Game that had an ending that truly blew me away. Something more people should experience.

Cross Game and Clannad.

In most respects, no other male leads in anime deserved the ending that they got more than Kitamura Kou and Okazaki Tomoya.

Gurren lagann's ending is pretty awesome.

Also Cowboy Bebop has a pretty concrete ending.

Ima go with clannad after story and school days, if you don't mind having a "bad ending". (as in unhappy)

Spoiler for HUUUUGE school days ending spoiler:
