So El was really the informant Gifferuto...well part of the clan Gifferuto, since it seems that the Gifferutois isn't a individual but a secret clan of informants, and Harold managed to get them work for him vy asking "nicely"

So it is still a few months before the start of the mainstory of the "game" and Harold is already preparing himself to prevent his death. Now I just wonder what is Erika doing now with the engagement with Harold now broken.

Also this thread is dead most of the time event though the story is good..., well a lot are like that I guess.

Tsundere MC gets branded as a traitor of the nation and is given a parole of working for an institute or getting executed (that organization is the one regular Harold worked for on the game). The Sumeragis had to back down from helping Harold after things got settled down to a point; they are one of the influential clans in the country and them having ties with a traitor would be pretty bad. Furthermore the Sumeragi family head is partially aware that there is a master plan for Harold's actions and just how big the stakes are (crumbling country if it fails), and Harold probably told him that getting tangled with the institute's director is a big death flag and that it would get too dangerous for Erika if she keeps meddling for his sake

....... There is no way that things are going to end up like that, of course; the Sumeragi house has a huge debt towards Harold (between other things, he got caught because he was covering the retreat of several of their secret agents including Yuno); there is also the bit that the Sumeragi family head basically already thinks of Harold has his own son and that Erika is madly in-love with him


Speaking of, I would love to see Harold's relationship with his parents now that he "soiled the Strokes name"

Well it wasn't stated how exactly they broke the engagement but when Harold was sentenced to death, the Sumeragi's (and the Stokes and some Knights) strongly opposed to it, and did everything they could so Harold isn't killed, and shortly after they managed to prevent him being sentenced to death, the engagement was officially broken (also due to this most of the country has a very bad opinion of Harold thinking of him as being ungrateful to the people that saved him). All of this happened during a time-skip so there is no more information about it.

About his relationship with his parents, it could aslo be that they think the country was in the bad, since they also tried to prevent Harold being sentenced to death after all.

It isn't a reincarnation in the sense of being reincarnated as a game character and remembering his old life, he actually possessed the body of Harold, since it seems like the original Harold is still alive inside of him and he thinks that someday the old Harold would become the main personality, him becomeing the main personality or both mixing together during a fight.

The "main plot" is nearing, so the big bad is taking action soon too.

Haha, his default smile is usually a sneer or mocking one after all.

Like the LN artworks, clean & expressive enough, the girls are cute & distinct enough and not standardly generic or same-facey so.

From the latest raw, I wonder if the course of actions he took was because he actually became smarter/wiser due to mingling with the dark side/bad guys through the course of the timeskip (aka: he got closer to that badass genius exterior he was always misunderstood to be)

he's still soft on the inside and hard on the outside. (aka: it's all still a misunderstanding in regards to others viewing him as)

He's throwing out all these secrets which sounds like grave threats to El but in actual fact he's just simply, 'I know who you are, come be an ally I want your help, I'll give you the best sweets if you do'

Ah, if I remember (I'm probably wrong, though). The only suicide scene here has no relation to Erika, and it's from the knight commander, that guy who was the only likeable honorable villain from the game: he jumped out of a balcony and every player regrets that result since he was only acting for the kingdom's future. He is the man Harold is basing his swordmanship via image training, and I'm guessing he wants to evade that result.
