Great news that a group is all set to sub this, looking forwards to it! The official site seems to show other, hopefully better, channels airing it now (yesterday and the next couple of days) so hopefully the nicer raw they are waiting for will show up soon
Since you're waiting for a better raw from another channel, I'm looking forwards enjoying this with sharper colors in a less fuzzy raw Last edited by DangerMouse; 2008-10-07 at 17:22. |

The first episode was nothing amazing, but in terms of action and style, well, it served its purpose. Regardless, I enjoyed it, mostly for the voice acting, especially Makina's and Kagami's. Like a previous poster here mentioned, far from normal "seiyuu" acting, which I feel is a breath of fresh air.

She's using the MAC-10 AKA M-10 (or maybe one of its variants), not one of the smaller variants of the Uzi. Look at e.g. the flat right side of the receiver and the outline of the upper edge of the outer stamping of it, or the bracket with a slot below the muzzle. For dramatic fiction it's considered to be a much cooler weapon. - Harold Last edited by hga; 2008-10-08 at 06:47. Reason: typo |

Story felt kinda unnecessarily disjointed in parts, but not a half bad first episode. I'd say some decent characters kept me out of eye roll territory for most of the episode, which is a welcome change from the majority of the action shows I've seen so far this season.
At the very least they get brownie points for a non-cg monster and a pretty interesting take on a vampire at that...

Yeah I totally agree the broadcast that's shown up on TT looks like that too, that's why I prefaced it by my previous post and older raw, I was hoping one of the other stations would have shown a better copy over the next few days. Those night/twilight colors especially on the roof deserve a sharper broadcast
If the show is only being aired in basically ATX quality then it's probably the best it's going to look for a while, not a big deal, still totally worth watching. The show looks very interesting and at this points Makina's story is a nice hook so it's a good start and it's pretty impressive that regardless of raw the color work and art style still come through strongly. As expected Kensei is a thousand times more interesting than "normal guy x100". Can't wait to see where it's going. Last edited by DangerMouse; 2008-10-08 at 15:16. |

Well, I just watched the first episode subbed by Lunar and gotta say it really isn't as bad as some people make it sound. I actually found it... interesting.
I like shounen anime with a tough girl as the main character and the kid doesn't seem to be stupid which is something I hate. I'll keep on watching this anime.
