I too thought it was a flashback, but a huge part of my brain just assumed she was a new character that's seemingly looks like Kosaki (due to the new term). I wonder whether she's gonna be a bit of a tsundere...

Just when I thought the new development is about Chitoge after she knows she should be honest after last chapter, now we got new girl instead to drag the story even further?

Just give us Shuu x Ruri chapter instead >3>

I really thought it was a flash back of Raku-Ono's first encounter. Now it turns out to be an imouto. Haizz, Naoshi's habit again. Dragging the reader to some far, far away land right after the main story have some developments.

how do you know she's gonna be a tsundere? she could be a deredere or a yandere or many other things, her character has just been introduced. Heck she may be none of the above.

I don't see that as tsundere, just out right hostility. This seems more like she's just outright trying to protect her sister from a bad man who's trying to trick her.

Well, if she's gonna fall for him at all, it won't be in heartbeat. There'll be a process of clearing misunderstanding.... basically, take a few chaps at least.
And I hope this imouto won't get involved in the main story. Appearing in some chapters for fan service and then gone is ideal

I just don't feel like having another girl to the huge-enough-already harem

Isnt that what tsundere means? Remember that all older tsunderes were like that - hostile at first and then becoming soft and in love. Its new concept of tsundere that makes them go in circles switching from mean to nice, but old/classic tsunderes are just hostile at first girls who later warm up. So in that sense she would be a tsundere.

I think it'll end up the same as other animes from long running mangas, do it and whether it's popular or not, we'll never see the ending and it'll all end us up with cliffhangers.

Yeah, too early for anime adaptation because we don't even know what's inside the safe pendant. It will be open harem ending without conclusion about the locks and pendant.
