yeah thanks i forget that, then with frosh we have 5 omakes and one novel to turn in anime episodes with this i think we can easy get a 12 to 13 episodes fillers and give more room to manga without looks like a total original content(since still based on others works).

actually thinking better with the incoming of more spinoffs(wendy spinoff and lucy&erza spinoff) this can give the anime even more free material to be animated and give more time to mashima develop the manga.
mashima is really extending the FT universe/franchise, with main manga, anime, spinoffs and novels, i can smell in the future another movie maybe in the end of this year or middle of the next

like other person told, unfortunatly no, he just say who he want to see the novel be animated, not really confirmed, but since mashima boss around the anime if the novel is short(something like 1 to 3 books) and already ended or nearlly to end is possible to get it.

No it's written by someone else with Mashima'a guidance. The illustrator is Mashima though.

today episode was really good the "cliffhanger!!! gray-sama!!!! noooooo...

was good who their only adapted one chapter here and let it end in the perfect place in the cliffhanger with this i can easy see more 4 to 8 episodes before this arc over and we can move to a new one and hope for him to ve the novel ones as mashima asked :X.

At first, I was really surprised that they could have potentially killed off Gray, one of the original characters. Then I see Ultear, and things started to make sense. Then I see the preview, and that pretty much puts all the pieces in place for what will probably happen next. I just don't understand the point of all this, though.

Spoiler for plot:

Millianna - Jellal - Ultear circle of negative emotions.
Flashbacks to their captive days were a nice reminder of things past.
Rogue got his spirits up after pairing up with Sting.
Erza & Jellal fighting together ^^
That's always a pretty sight.
Looks like some of the fighters are getting tired..
No wonder since they can't do any damage to dragons.
Our dragon slayers were practically nowhere to be seen this time.
Gray took a few shots for Juvia... don't think he's gonna recover from that..

This current arc will end in 3 episodes maybe 4 depending on your definition of when this arc ends

Good episode feel sad for Jet and Droy they want protect levy and the worry for her but all shes wisphers at the hill is Gajeel. Sad when your the jokes of the series

Well, props to the anime for actually making it look like the good guys are struggling. Never actually thought the extra scenes with Jet/Droy and Macao/Romeo/Wakaba would turn out as good. Now, if they make what happens next actually look like it makes a smidgen of sense, I'll be satisfied.

Also, I didn't expect that surprise cameo from Flare. Well, maybe I hoped deep down she'd make an appearance, considering that people who don't know about the Ryuzetsu Land chapter/OVA wouldn't know that she and Lucy ended up on softer terms by the end of the games, so it'd seem natural they'd include this scene.

Yea it would be a good place to go since in theory the next 2 episodes can end this current arc although one of my favorite scenes will be in episode 200

yeah flare was interesting and somehow she will have another cameo later and we find more about "her personality"(how she have something in common with juvia), poor lucy most of the girls who she become friend are "weirds" at extreme.

It depends on how much is in the next episode although for the 200th episode to be their return to magnolia with the championship trophy isnt exactly a bad thing.

6 chapters, if we use 2 chapters per episode them we have 3 episodes but ofcourse their dont gonna do that them probably is something between 4 and 6 episodes then this arc probably gonna end between 200 and 202

I can see them stretching Chapter 338 into a full episode. And judging from the preview for the next episode, Chapter 335 will have this done as well. So here's my prediction:

Episode 197: 335
Episode 198: 336 & 337
Episode 199: 338
Episode 200: 339 & 340

337 the Golden Plains will take about 5 minutes. It's mostly dialogue less with little room to stretch it out or add filler.

The scenes with Ultear were really disjointed. She is jumping all over the place, and her reactions are over the top. Everything just seems forced with her, and then the Gray "death" scene felt forced, too. There was no build up or drama. It pretty much went, "hey, Juvia, let's chat in the middle of a dangerous battle, but yeah, let me sacrifice myself while I'm at it."

All the more evidence at the giant mess that is this story arc. Still, some of the additional scenes that weren't in the manga were kind of nice. And we finally got to see Erza and Jellal fight alongside each other (even though Erza's supposed to be injured, but whatever).

That said, the way Ultear is handled in this part of the arc is... crap. And not just the adaptation; everything she does here is completely spontaneous and doesn't add up to the moment it happens in. Yeah, she says she's done bad stuff for years, but we don't feel it. So her sudden "I don't feel like living anymore" attitude just doesn't do anything for me, regardless of how much justification she might have for it. And that confrontation with Millianna... boy, that really un-escalated quickly.

That's the big problem with this arc: things are treated like a big deal, yet the payoff is seriously not worth it. And for the record, I know what happens next, and it doesn't really change my mind.

Yea i may have been off on the timing of the episodes but thats of little importance still they've handled this battle with the dragons very poorly but hey something about this whole thing has been sloppy.

Yeah this part really came off as rushed and sloppy even manga wise. Though consensus is the next arc really improved.

I guess it either he was rushing this to keep things moving so the anime could start back up within a year, or it was just stuff he had to get done ASAP to move on.
