This is most certainly a better infodump than what FZ had.
I have no complaints. Sure, it's an infodump but the shots used were on point and relevant. Kirei's movement of walking around as he explained the HGW to Shirou is very much like a predator encircling his prey as it should be. Musicwise, it's more prominent here and while not memorable, it played its role of highlighting certain emotions that the characters had (e.g. Shirou's reaction to the link of the fire and HGW was well complemented with highstrung somber strings). The dubstep at the end came out of the left field but I find it bearable. I watched this on fullscreen and never in the middle of the episode had I felt the need to see how long until the end of the episode. Clearly, I enjoyed this even as an infodump episode and it shows that even infodumps can be presented in an engaging manner. The "Yorokobe" at the end seemed to portray something else. Sure it wasn't the jumpscare-crap-that-disturbs-me-hella-lot Yorokobe, but this Yorokobe felt more somber and symbolic as it was said outside of the church and there was a pan up of the praying Mary statue. Basically I think they're playing it off as a last remark of Kirei which is later blown up into a major theme. I am sorta expecting Shirou having momentary flashbacks to it and in each flashback, it slowly is changed into a menacing message, Last edited by relentlessflame; 2014-10-19 at 12:23.
