Just watched the PV : it was magnificient. The animation isn't as godly as Oda Nobuna (which was also done by Gokumi) but came close due to the enticing animation. Visuals still aren't on par with the manga designs, but still looks good this time. I'll watch it, expecting it to be a action romance show mixing over-the-top craziness and semi-serious story.

I still want to watch it for the story, but I can't get over how those character designs look. Certain proportions seem off and the animation at times was kind of stiff or awkward... But I'll still give it a shot, if only because I find the atmosphere/mood given off by the PVs pleasing at least.

I see no evidence that this is licensed or picked up by a subber yet - that'd be a shame.

Is it me, or does it seem as if there are fewer shows licensed this season generally speaking?

Spoiler for Episode 1:

The first episode which looks very promising is probably a fantasy story mixing elements taken from Rapunzel, C3 with a zest of my amateur manga I'm currently developping. You have Kiri, a young man who possess great hair-cutting skills, and encounters the overly long haired princess named Iwai. Their relationship suddenly develops affectionally with love, and Kiri possess a scissor belonging to cursed weapons known as "Killing Goods". Then he finally cuts Iwai's hair, and the adventure finally starts. It blends some action with a bit of comedy, but the atmosphere proves to be very mysterious indeed, given that Kiri's classmates were apparently villains. The artwork looks pretty and astonishing thanks to its beautiful animation. The music was also awesome, and it added some suspense in the story, however I can't judge the theme songs yet even though I liked the ending theme by Iwai's VA, which was also behind Yuki from Psycho-Pass, and I really liked how she takes the main role seriously. I also cannot wait to look forward the next episode !

There is 2 sub groups going to do this, though the 2nd group doesn't made an official post yet so I guess it's subjected to change.

Wonder if this will follow Arachnid's plot line from the first ep....Hope not. Such a plot line is better in manga form than animated...

The first few minutes was entertaining enough, though part of my laughter was a grimace at the protagonist's perversion.
And then... They started talking about Kirin Goods. Or at least I thought that was what they were saying, but apparently, it is "Killing Goods," not Giraffe Goods.

And then it got boring.

And the tension in the anime was on the complete other spectrum compared to my tension. I'm just staring at the screen when all of the characters just started glaring and screaming and I'm just looking at the screen blankly.
The whole "Did you know your ancestor was a criminal!?" was as sudden as can be, and on top of that, I already figured that out (so obvious) before the anime said so.

And then thanks to her haircut, the heroine turned into Utao.

And you know, the only anime that really did the whole kami (hair) and kami (god) well was Neuro.
But anyways, following the spirit of this anime, I can say it sure made certain things cut. Like my relationship towards the show.

I see the tags for the thread, I watch ep 1, I'm REALLY confused as to what we're getting here. I wasn't quite expecting this series, so I don't know how to take this first episode. I'll be watching more as I'm quite curious now.

Is this an action series? A suspense/horror series? A Rom-Com? I really don't know after ep 1.

This was an interesting start to the series. However, I felt my frustration while watching it right away. The MC starts off wanting to cut the hair of the main girl, yet when it came time to cut her hair, he uses every single other scissor except for the one he was holding in the beginning. That was frustrating to watch, since it was so obvious that he had to use that scissor. Then a whole episode pass by, and he finally decides to use it at the end of the episode to the effect that was expected to happen.

Seriously, that was really stupid on how forced they made it without any logic or reason, all in the name of dramatics and ending the episode in the most dramatic way possible. I really hope the series improves from this point forward, since this type of forced stupidity will make the series really hard to watch.

Other than that, the series does have promise as a suspense thriller. I kept wondering if the MC was going to kill the main girl every single time he sees her. Let's hope the story improves from this point forward.
