Quoting a book by W.E.B. Griffin, I would rather piss off someone by asking them again and again whether they know their job, then to assume and be left hanging.
Which hasn't done wonders for my interpersonal relations, but I could honestly say that the shifts I ran had less issues and problems compared to my juniors.

Compared to last weekend's mission, which I had already completed by this point on Friday despite it using two vehicles that I had never previously owned, this week's has been much more annoying.
Though so far the two major complicating random factors are getting maps that are awkward for the BDR and massive combined fire making it difficult to claim a kill. That's getting wins, but not kills. |

I want to as well, though I think the general playstyle of TDs is just not for me and I should stay far far away. One only need look at my shockingly bad stats with the Hetzer to see this.
At least my horrible OCD need to keep checking my stats has finally provided some sort of amusement though. My "most recent" stats on Noobmeter are artificially bloated to the point of hilarity after an incredibly short and lopsided session yesterday. |

Incidentally, this is a nice thing to use the World of Tanks Statistics program for:
And yes, my session has been sucky. The new lowlight was one of those El Halluf games where all of the team's top-tier heavies don't move more than 50 meters from where they spawned. |

Less than 50k XP left to get the FV215b 183. I'm really tempted to use some of my free XP to just get it now, but this is one grind that I'll sit to the end with, since I want to max out the 2nd skill set on my Tortoise's crew members before transferring them.
On top of that, getting an Ace Tanker badge on a loss, albeit with Courageous Resistance. My condolences, Quox. Hope you get that Tortoise soon. And congrats on the Ace Tanker. |

I got the Earning Your Steel mission done for the gift week of premium and the consumables, at a very considerable cost to my win rate and performance figures. It was just not a very good day for me with either teams or, honestly, my particularly caring. Still, a week of premium is worth real money.
With that finished, I can resume playing my own way and grinding the tanks that I want to. On the bright side, I have researched or in my possession almost all of the likely Tier 5 vehicles that they've been using for these things (well, still not the Type T-34, but a repeat is unlikely). I don't see them running the 1602 or ELC for these things because of scout MM... that would be harsh. I ended up not waiting for the sale to put a 100% crew into the T40, since the Wolverine is one of the few things that I do not have researched yet... I don't really have a good handle on the BDR G1B yet, much as the downrated 3001H bothered me. Heavies that have to be played like TDs is confusing. |

Currently doing file recovery on my desktop's boot partition post-format, so I'm exiled to the laptop for a while. The problem is, apparently my laptop can't play World of Tanks, or rather it can't connect to the login server. Yes, it's the dreaded "unable-to-locate-server-ip-through-dns" warning, despite the fact that the game is on the exemption list for both my laptop firewall AND antivirus.

So I got Pearl River twice in the span of three maps. The first game was a win, because my team was not stupid. The second game was a loss, because they were.
But the second game was more fun, because another guy and I started doing free-association movie quotes while we waited for the inevitable western flanking attack to crush us all. (Yes, my southern-starting team lemminged over the bridge and straight into the valley, despite our scout suicide rushing in there and lighting six tanks maybe being a clue.) We did have a Jumbo manage to kill nine opponents, though, including the BDR G1B that I nearly managed to kill with my T40. |

Is that based on any prior experiences or is your urging merely corporate rivalry? So far I've heard that the Warthunder implementation is superior to World of Warplanes, as an overall package. WT players that I know are hopeful towards the new game.
